Railfan “Get Together” at Iona Island and Manitou on a gorgeous 10/15/22 day.

Great gathering of railfans and railfan employees observing CSX, Amtrak, and Metro North action. A lot of trains and plenty of good humor abounded. Everyone had a ball. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for this. At 16:09 that’s Ian, Joe, and Neil. Not Jake.

Although it's getting a bit late for leaf peeping, you definitely should try the Ethan Allen Express extension route. Beautiful countryside between Rutland and Burlington, and the train comes up the east side of Lake Champlain on the final leg for some really stunning views. Burlington Union Station is also right on the lake---walking distance from hotels, and a number of great restaurants (although the 9:55pm arrival time isn't ideal to enjoy them). Love your videos!

I was on 49 that day. I’m fortunate enough to ride this line everyday on both Amtrak and Metro-North. Definitely would like to meet on another sometime.

They drop off cars along the way to North Bergen. If you’re hypothetically ever in Marion, OH at any time, I008 is a bigger train.
