I agree with you they're great heads.. my GF has asked me2 replace her 5 or 6 noisy chik chik chik chik nozzles & sev rotors w/these & I got 4 done last year w/4 more to go..already quieter @ 5am

They’re definitely a more expensive investment but I think they are completely worth it!

Your point has been proven. I use both the Rain Bird R-Van and the Hunter MP Rotator. Problem I have with the Rain Bird R-Van is that one our water pressure isn’t the best and the water quality isn’t the best where I am from and it tends to clog after a certain about of run times and they quit spinning. MP Rotator can handle the water quality better and does better with low water pressure. Only thing about the MP Rotator is that you have to buy a tool with it compared to the R-Van being hand adjustable. Overall I would use both depending on what kind of water I am working with and how much pressure I have. All in all they both are good products and they work great

I don’t mind the mp rotors but using that tool is kind of annoying but both are solid options

My water bill is over $100 higher per month to irrigate in Nj. Most of my neighbors lawns look just like the one behind you..the brown dried up one.. with loads of dog poop on them

That’s tough I can’t imagine what that’s like honestly. We’re a little spoiled where I live. I pay $140 for all the water I need from about May to October definitely helps me stay green but there are still people who don’t care out here and have some bad looking lawns

I love the r-vans, I use them in my backyard. The red ones 17-24 are my fave and put out a lot of distance. The beige ones I don't like as much, 13-18ft which sometimes don't shoot as far as advertised. I use a blue for the garden bed. Nice lawn, what is your watering schedule and how long of a run to get .5"? I run 12 min for just a bit under .5" every 3 days.

I love them I run mine for about 30 min each zone every 3 days depending on the heat and how it’s looking but normally every 3 days.

They’re the best replacement heads out there! A total game changer I switched these out as soon as soon as we bought this house.

I have the same nozzles. In my area they are not in the big box stores for some reason. Had to get them online.

I have seen them carried at the big box stores by me but they’re usually out of stock which is crazy but I think a lot of people are snagging them as soon as they can.

Most people will need additional heads on change from a hunter rotor or a pop up for RVAN heads.. they do not reach long distance reliably

They have multiple different distances I haven’t had many issues with them the thing you do need to do though is test out how much they are putting down and making sure you have proper coverage.

I repaired his lawn for him last fall. It looks way better now 2nd best lawn on the block 🤪 but we’re both kicking butt over here

Looks like watering time will need to be longer than using normal nozzle.

Correct, you’ll need to adjust your watering times and get some proper measuring of your watering but overall you’re getting a more effective watering in.

It can happen. It depends on the water you have. Every year I clean all the filters out to make sure they are good to go but the great part about these is they are easy to declog

Hunter’s MP rotators are the best because it only have one movimg part and a double pop system!

And save more water than r van and if someone steps on the r van they can adjust it by accident And Hunter’s pro spray body has a pressure regulation for mp rotators.

@@karpatimarci_spotting5932 I think hunters are great too the set up with them is annoying though with their tiny screwdriver but they are still great. I haven’t had my rvans ever get readjusted because someone walked on them. Could be because mine are below the grass level? Overall though I think both are good nozzles and I haven’t had any serious issues with mine.
