You could try Nevin, but may want to do two things first: upsize your hook to match your yarn size, and make some small swatches of the stitches to see if you like the result. Some of these stitches will be much thicker with thicker yarn, especially the Celtic Weave.

Help! Stuck on round 13 .... should finish with 160 stitches? I can only make it 140?? If each cable stitch has 3 single crochets behind it each side would have 30 single crochets plus each corner which totals 35 stitches each side ???? Help!! Where are the other 5 stitches each side I’m missing ???? I’ve even draw sketches to work out the maths?
@BonnieBayCrochet3 жыл бұрын
I just verified the stitch count with the pattern and you should have 33 sts (behind the 11 cables), plus 3 additional single crochets plus 4 sc for the corner stitches = 40 sts per side. You may need to check your stitch count a round or two before beginning the cable row, especially if you have fewer than 11 cables per side.
@juliewawrzynowicz98493 жыл бұрын
Hi Bonnie I have redone round 13 over and over and watched your video over again and am getting a stitch count of 41 on each side because instead of plus 3 I have plus 4 additional single crochets as demonstrated in your video at time 41.12 to 41.48 for each corner. My counts are 33 stitches behind the cable stitches 4 additional single crochets (2 at the beginning and 2 at the end of the cable stitches) then plus 4 for the corners. I need help to confirm where I’m going wrong please?
@BonnieBayCrochet3 жыл бұрын
@@juliewawrzynowicz9849 I would need a photo to find that one extra sc, but it may be just as easy to make one less per side of this blanket somewhere. I have double checked the written pattern to confirm that the total stitch count (which includes the sc in the corners) should be 160 sc.
@shellyh.3042 жыл бұрын
Hi Bonnie. I’m having the exact same issue and she is correct about the stitch count being 41 in the tutorial. Based on the description in the tutorial, there are 3 stitches behind each of the 11cables = 33. Then on each end there are four additional stitches (2 from the corner of the previous round and 2 for the new corner). 33+4+4 = 41. So either the written pattern is wrong or the way it’s described in the tutorial is wrong. I’ve watched it several times and the way you explain it the total on each side is 41, not 40.
@Candy102297 Жыл бұрын
Im having the exact same issue...how did you guys fix it...Ive worked it twice and still coming out with that one extra pesky stitch =41...I have done Bonnie's designs many times so I would consider myself confident I can follow her work...just not sure where Im going wrong. 33+4+4=41...idk...just dont want to mess up future rounds...
