Ironically, by letting Deimos help them, at all, in anyway, proves his ideology is right. The Rainbow he was working for in the past would never let someone who betrays them, who helped kill them, come back after capturing him. The two times in lore someone crossed Rainbow or tested them, ended with their deaths, those two being David Newcastle and Gabe Nowak.

By the things he see, they were on a mission and failed and childrens died, and by how we see Deimos tossing the dogs on politics, maybe he failed not because he was bad, dude is a manace and won against Sam fucking Fisher, a Legend among legends, even Ghosts respect him as a operator so Deimos is a great agent, he failed because one politic was in his way. They create the white masks to reactivate Rainbow to see how they responed to it, then they bring in Demos, an Ex Rainbow op who lead the original team to dismantle it from underneath. But in her in-game bio, in Relevant Experience, it says Operation High Sun (2004), Second Lebanon War (2006), and Operation Orchard (2007). I think this is arguably better lore compared to all the other ones, but I feel like this is the first time ubisoft is actually heavily incorporating lore into the game with deimos, and I think thats what was missing, because it was making the lore complex and poorly written, because it didnt have any ties to the gameplay itself most of the time.

Seeing Deimos go on the field is actually the worst idea in terms of getting info out of him on the battlefield. If he is going to go on missions he has to be put with specific people, fenrir, thermite, azami, and any red hammer operator is going to rip him to shreds 😅

Hello Kudos thank you for another amazing video as always. I do know that because of your lore videos many people such as myself a into the lore and I know its a lot to get into so I think a video series or playlist where you completely review the history character and back around of all the operators 1 at a time would be very helpful for such people. The in game operator bios only tell me so much about an operator like with someone whom I really love that being Ram all I know/remember about her is that she was involved in the tower attack and that she was raised in a fire department however I am sure there is more than that about her and a lot more info about the rest of the operators I dont know. its also a good way to keep up an income stream I think because that's like 65 video ideas in one concept

Theory: Thermite will go over the line, and Ash will get promoted because of it. First, the direct evidence i have is the battle pass quotes; a few talk about how Jordan is losing is mental more and more, and there are two quotes that stand out in particular. the charm "Lost in Darkness" shows Deimos' mask next to handcuffs, and quote from Thermite about killing the captured terrorist. Another is the one quote of Harry asking his team to "remember what they stand for." Thermite killing the stopped threat is both against what this irritation of Rainbow means, and is as well a direct parallel to Deimos and his origin. Second piece is Ash's character arc. Ash is on red hammer and apart of the FBI SWAT just as Thermite. Ash also seems to have so parallel to Deimos too, but the character she more strongly resembles in my opinion is Kali. Ash and Kali have butted heads for a while is pretty interesting since they share the same goal overall. Ash being the new 6 only makes sense to fit the interactions already had. But how does Thermite going over help Ash? Realistically Thermite is the next 6 given that he has had the most commanding role since Harrys death, but his field work, and him recruiting an asset like Fenrir, a board would pick him first. Additionally, since Ash and Thermite have parallels to Deimos, Thermite going down that road allows profound character development and growth for Ash to properly step up to the 6 mantle and fill in the shoes of Harry. Thermite losing his mind and radicalizing will also emphasize Harrys philosophy and the impact and importance of his leadership to Rainbow was. Harrys focus on the individual rather than the operator might be what saves rainbow instead of what ends rainbow like Deimos believes. Maybe it can even save Thermite from Falling into Darkness. But Hey! Thats just a theory...

My addition to your take on Deimos/Gerald not being the one who's in charge is, he's on the field too often to be a bad guy who controls such a big and dangerous force. I mean yeah he's the one who wants to hunt them all down with his Vendetta but being the bad guy and going on risky missions could be fatal wouldn't it?
