"Never too old to learn new tricks" in the context of learning to trust others, and then "trust in your comrades, they will help you face what comes next"... It feels so poetic in a way, I think. It gave me some goosebumps, it reminded me of how he treated Briggs after he came in to help him. Sam did not appreciate it at the time. I like how the writers try to make up for all bad narrative choices from Blacklist, so they kind of make more sense now.

Sam actually had a lot of different people to keep tabs on for a variety of reasons. Night Haven’s business proposals, Ela and Zoffia butting heads, training the different operators , and now with the big split up and working with ghost eyes

Sam is also on ghost recon breakpoint/Wildlands and has an awesome nod to MGS, Sam is basically up there in the Tom Clancy universe with Jack ryan john Clark and Ding Chavez.

There are really wierd lore things going on in these games. In the Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC, Sam shows up and it's implied he knows who Solid Snake is. Team Rainbow also shows up. Now with Sam joining team Rainbow 6 it now makes all of that cannon. So Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow 6, and Metal Gear Solid all share the same universe.

If the story team in Ubisoft was taking other well know franchise protagonists, I would suggest Nomad for Ghost Recon (If Harry can get him off Auroa) or Domingo Chavez (If Harry could find him after NATO disbanded Team Rainbow in 2012). either way, if Ubisoft could "magically" do this they could either: 1. put both of them in ROS (Rainbow Operation Staff). 2. Have Nomad still in Ghost Recon in Siege and have Chavez in ROS.

Ubisoft does not have rights for book characters anymore, so unless they want to negotiate with Amazon, Chavez is not going to happen. But as a Vegas fan, I would love Keller or Bishop to come back.

The estate wanted a clear distinction between books and games so they could make any licensing as clear as possible. Chavez is a character that originated in the books thus Ubisoft can't use him without permission anymore.

Why can Ubisoft not make Sam's face consistent? He has a different face (and level of grey in his hair) in every cameo outside of Splinter Cell. Plus if they are looking for a voice actor to take over after Michael Ironside retires, I think they need someone with a deeper voice. At least TRY to get a similar sound. I bet Troy Baker could pull if off. Like a Joel voice without the Texas accent. The guy is a genius at voice mimicry
