a great detail about this trailer is that Ela from the sisters in arms videos has a history as a double agent within Rainbow. Meaning that her defection to Nighthaven is likely actually just another mission she’s undertaken with the other operators who have ‘defected’ being her back up. Or at least some of them.

Okay, so lore explanation as that Sister in Arms cinematic was packed with lore. So, Rainbow Six is a big organization made up of the anti-terroist units of the world to ensure that our world is united in these threats to ensure a quick reaction. A couple of years ago Rainbow Six decided to bring in and partner with a private secruity team known as Nighthaven. Nighhaven tends to be more morally free and less strict, essentially if they are paid they will happily do anything, besides terroism, breaking laws, etc. Their general strats are often different too. Nighthaven is willing to sacrifice its own members if really needed for the sucess of the mission. With that in mind a civil war of sorts started to brew in Rainbow Six as many were against the inclusion of Nighthaven and many pros, so a division formed in the unit. It has been building up that Nighthaven would leave and kind of go on their own again but take some of the operators from Rainbow Six, what you saw there at the end of the cinematic was a group of operators, including Ela, joining Nighthaven and leaving Rainbow Six. Now onto the lore of Zofia and Ela. Zofia and Ela grew up in a very abusive household. Their father was a single dad that was a higher up in the Polish military. He wanted his daughters to follow his steps so basically from around age 5 and up he put them through insanely brutal training that almost killed them on multiple accounts. Zofia ended up really shining here and became his golden child, whereas Ela was shaky. She enjoyed the work itself but wanted to be an artist, not a soldier, however, her dad would not allow that. Ela broke away from her father and finally freed herself from the abuse, but she was already a soldier so her and Zofia worked together on a bunch of missions because they were great at what they did and had trained from ages 5. However, upon their fathers death Zofia basically pushed Ela away, tried forcing her to do stuff she did not want to do and such, so Ela cut Zofia off, as Zofia basically became their father, just not abusive. Zofia married and had her own kids, whom she seems to have a good relationship with, but she decided to join Rainbow Six hoping to build her relationship with Ela again. They seemed to build their relationship somewhat up but then the Nighthaven stuff happened and all of that progress was destroyed again and now they are on opposite teams. That is that and that is all the lore to know about the video :)

if you want to know more about the operator backstory, there's an animated (with anime style, not cgi) video per each operator, you should definitely check out these vids! for a reference, these vids that you're watching on this are the CGI video meant to reveal the character, when the season launches 2-4 weeks later, they'll drop "animated story trailer" for that operator. Looking forward for these story trailers reaction! PS. Looking for the these story trailers in order would be a pain in the ass for those who aren't familiar with the game, because the format of the title is always "[Name of the Season] - Story Trailer", but if you guys are really interested I can give you some help finding the vids and put it on chronologically :D

So glad that you finally cover the rest of the rainbow six cinematics . There are a couple of animated trailers that give more insight into the characters. Have been following the release schedule of your videos each week. So this was a nice surprise. For some context to all. Flores is a thief from Argentina. He has a bit of a robin hood style thing going on. He was brought into the program(Rainbow) by Ash to keep an eye on Kali and Nighthaven as she does not trust the private military company. Thunderbird is a member of the Nakota tribe in Canada, a indigenous tribe. I am 99% sure she was brought into Rainbow through Frost(Year 1 operator) a member of the Canadian JTF 2 special forces. Osa is from the Czech republic, a robotics genius. She is in charge of Nighthaven's research and development labs called Quantum Computer and Robotics or QCR. So Kali brought her into the rainbow unit. And the last one Thorn is a soldier from Ireland, not much know reason as to why she was specifically invited but she is a friend of the British operator Sledge. The sisters in arm trailer is very much a struggle between Zofia and Ela, their father was in charge of the Polish special forces unit GROM. They both struggled a lot to make their father proud and when he was found hanged, which was deemed a suicide even though Zofia believed he was murdered, so did a rift start to form in between them. As they both grieved their fathers lost differently. Zofia staying with GROM while Ela left the unit. Being later reunited as both joined Rainbow. The scene of them fighting is in a combat training simulation. So they aren't firing live rounds. The trailer ends with Ela, Finka, IQ, Pulse and Smoke, left Rainbow to join Nighthaven. Which has been one of Kali's goals seemingly since joining the unit. And what Ash hired Flores to find out about. Smoke is also the one who removed his mask in the car. It's a big deal as he is a part of the SAS (British special forces) and all of the SAS operators are wearing some kind of mask. So him removing his mask is the first time fans got to see it. We have now gotten a face reveal of 3/4 SAS operators with only the one called Mute left. Asami is working in the private security field in Japan. A former cop she left to use the skills she learned to protects the clients she takes on. She is a friend of the Japanese attacker Hibana. And her Kunai has two gasses in them. Which she can throw on surfaces to create a harden wall to plug in holes. Something no operator in the game can do.

Ela and zofia definitely have some of the saddest lore. It’s two sisters that have been pitted against each other their life, constantly fighting to be the better. They were never given the opportunity to have a normal childhood or a normal sister like relationship. They both deserve better

Flores has a drone in the c4 effect. Thunderbird, on the other hand, has a kona station that heals allies or opponents. Osa, on the other hand, has a shield that can be placed on doors with clear glass on both sides. Thorn, on the other hand, has a barbed bomb that can stick anywhere you want and explode when he enters the opponent's area. Azami It has a maximum of 5 kunai knives, when you throw the kunai, it opens and the liquids inside come out and form a concrete barrier. You need to watch the gameplay videos for better understanding.

These characters don't exist in actual Tom Clancy lore (they're not in the books that he wrote, some may be in later tie in/EU books for the games written by ghost writers) all of the characters in the game are created by Ubisoft for Tom Clancy games. The last time Rainbow Six featured original canon characters was in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, with the last appearance of Domingo "Ding" Chavez, Leader of Rainbow's B team.

Azami joined rainbow searching for revenge after her Yakuza leader got killed (The suspect are the private army got hired by rainbow months ago, a bullet shell bring the first Names of the enginner team of Osa) Smoke (the man in the Car with Ela) was a member of team Rainbow for years and now, together with Ela amd other ex-members of rainbow, he joined NightHaven, the private army hired by Rainbow itself, thanks to the Sisters in arms cinematic we see for the very first time his face that got always covered by his mask
