Love the jig style flies for still water,fished under an indicator with a smaller nymph or wet fly trail off the bend of the jig hook,nice pattern

Rainbow warriors are one of my favorite pattern. I really enjoyed watching you tie your variant of this classic. I've never used jig hooks but, I believe I will in the future. One difference between mine and yours is that I like to use UV peacock herl tips as my tailing material. Like you said though, the possibilities are endless.

Not the original pattern, but some interesting changes. Hard to argue with a Rainbow Hued (not "head") bead for a Rainbow Warrior - would appear to be the perfect choice. The rib is some additional step that doesn't really seem necessary since the body is already nicely segmented. But it can add more contrast to the segmentation. If the rib is for durability, Lance Egan addresses that by using larger size flash material, thus it overlaps more and gives better durability. Thanks for the video.

This is a different version than I tie but I like the jig hook instead of a curved. Good dropper nymph.

Those plummeting beads I've found at JS Stockard. They work great, but after a few long drifts I've noticed the paint flecks off. Doesn't affect performance, and the trout don't seem to mind less color lol. Nice fly!

nice fly and im sure it will catch lots of fish but its not a rainbow warrior...its a variant of the pattern and quite a bit different from the original
