So nice to see a honest repair shop. My wife had her oil changed at Toyota yesterday and they installed new wipers front and rear plus did a front end alignment after rotating the tires. They stuck her with a bill over $300 and she wasn’t consulted about any of it. The oil and filter are covered under the warranty we bought. I called them up and said the wiper blades were free along with the alignment because of no notification to decide if we wanted their services. The shop foreman and the three owners were in a large argument so I told my wife to just leave without paying the bill. I took it back today and confronted one of the owners who reduced the bill to cost on the wiper blades to $60 which I paid but told the service manager to never pull that trick on my wife again.

60 is better than 300, but still, corporate greed and gender trickery is crap. I'm sorry.

Good morning Ray. My dad ran an independent shop back in the 1970’s. I recall the day they got a computer balancing machine. I was 12 and I watched the demonstration the guy put it in. A couple hours later the owner showed up and my dad told this is so easy my son can do it. The owner did not believe him so I showed him how to use. Funny thing is the balancing machine have not changed much in 45 years.

Being from the rust belt I had great big smile come across my face when the bearing started to fall off when the last bolt came out! You lucky dog! Good video ! Or maybe the right rear tire is leaking without the liquid tire fix that the owner used. Love to see the working Mans hands at the very end , I’m with you , not everyone like sweaty gloves!

Never in all the wheel hubs I have changed have I been able to pull one off by hand. I deal with rust & crust like Eric O. does living in the rust belt. Wouldn't even know how to handle working a car of that age without blood, sweat, tears, & lots of cussing!! Keep up the great work Ray 😉

For the Autel Mx sensors you must first "program" them. this can be off the car before you install them or after. After that you can trigger each sensor in its spot and then "relearn" them to the car. Also, once you get one bad sensor it usually means the battery is bad so you might as well replace them all.

I had a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with the big 4 liter and 5 speed automatic. It had been a program car when I bought it at 27,500 miles...I got rid of it at 217,220 miles; it was still rolling when I retired it. This Chevy reminds me of my Alero. General Motors used to make quality rides...miss those days.

When I worked for an auto parts store I discovered a clamp that is designed to go on the strut rod to hold the hood or trunklid up so you don't have to use a pole of some sort to hold the lid up. I have found it to be a very handy tool because I don't have to work around the pole holding the lid open.

For the 2008-12 Malibu's, you're suppose to press and hold the info and enter button first, it should then prompt something up where the milage is. Select "Oil Life Reset" if it isn't already on there, then press and hold the enter button till it says "Acknowledged" and you're all set! Had the right idea, but did it the wrong way around!

TPMS can be super frustrating, but I for one definitely appreciate knowing a tire is losing pressure or going low while driving! I'm fine keeping an eye on the tires normally, but frankly I'll skip it at -40 in blowing snow! We also get a LOT of temperature variance here in Calgary, up to 40-50C temp swings in the space of hours.
