@@RubyGranger8 You're welcome! I appreciate that you've been focused on that, since I'm jumping into my Masters after receiving my BA 10 years ago. One of the things I've been trying to do in the lead-up to classes starting is that independent research and stretching my mind again to think critically about a niche topic. Whether it's related to my MLIS studies or just something that sticks out to me in literature, etc. Your videos have helped really reenergize me for that. I really appreciate it.

In Scandinavia a student set up this beautiful book buying system, and all the things that they appreciated and was bothered by when they bought books for their classes they added to their book shop/service. For example buying a book someone else has anotated will be mentioned and to which extent. There are a few different categories, and based on the categories the book will come down in price or be close to the original book price. It’s a wonderful set up, because the staff can sell your books for you or you can register on their page and sell it through there on your own and keep the entire sum you have sold books for. If they do it for you, make an ad etc. they take a small %. It makes sense that it’s so successful because it’s a student who made it for students. Very cleaver person!❤

somewhat early once again! School is going well, I'm starting a club and reading Teffi for AP Lang! Currently in love with Howard's end, and reading it slowly because I don't want it to end. I'm in precalc and going to do my homework for it after this video ends; I don't love math but my teacher is great and this is my second year with her! Here in the states its been consistently higher than 90 degrees farenheit, and I'm hoping for weather like yours soon! I'm taking AP psych this year, and I'm really excited to learn more about it. The class is taught more like a typical uni class where we have discussions and lectures in class and readings at home, which excites me a lot! I've made friends with the librarian, and am now having coffee with her while we discuss my writing. I have real homework in Art III, so I've been sketching a lot lately for that.

Hi Ruby, I buy second hand books from ebay too. If classed as like new, excellent, very good or good the books should not have anything written in them. I always check this on the listing under condition. The better condition copies are not always more expensive. They can even be cheaper than copies in worse condition. Some book sellers like Magpie and World of Books tend to put up a photo of one copy of a book but send you another - so that can be annoying. However, most other sellers will photograph the actual book that is for sale. All this is to say that I hope you won't give up buying second hand books on ebay because it is a wonderful resource once you factor in the considerations I've suggested. You will be able to get a refund on the annotated books you bought if the annotations were not mentioned in the descriptions.

It’s a delightful read. I just been on a regency walking tour of my town with a lady dressed in regency, I was on my own with her and it was wonderful. She spoke about many women who shaped our town including Jane Austen (Ramsgate), but lots of other interesting women too and I plan on researching them for a series of talks, women who shaped Ramsgate. This will be after my female children’s author series.
