I seperated the babies today as mine is a community tank. The babies r very small. I have kept a small sponge filter and a heater at 28 d c. Is it ok or decrease the temperature? I have fed the fry egg yolk. Boiled one mixed in little water n have added few drops. I dont think anyone may have eaten!! Can i feed the babies 3 to 4 times daily? Water change once a week or twice?

Keep the temp same 28 deg is fine but maintain the same. Egg york can turn water dirty so put as much as they consume. Observe the babies stomach they turn yellow with york so u can say they ate. 1 a week water change 20% is fine.

If you notice the count of babies are getting less immediately separate the parents and feed the babies micro palettes, egg york or BBS. They can grow with parents also

If its a community tank remove the babies not using a net using a bowl and pur in a seprate bowl or bottle

Yes but need proper oxygen on them so they dirt and other particle wont settle on them same like parents keep circulating water. And add Blue liquid and maintain same water temperature.

Yes, once they start eating and as long as u can feed tiny food partice they can survive without parents. But if parents are taking proper care u can separate after 15 -25 days

Provide the fries and Parents proper timely food.Tiny for babies and worms for parents. After 3 - 4 weeks one you see babies starts roming away for parents you can remove the Parents.

@@omkarpuro it was rhe second time the get fry but the first they eat half of them so today i take out the parents ..the fry are 8 days old and swwiming togheter eat bbs and dry crushed blood worm But now i see that the father fish is picking on the mother fish what to do? Saperate the parents? Bring mother back to fry? Is it ok to leave 8 days old fry to grow without the parents? Thanks you verry mutch for your help

@@אוראור-ע4ק They might be some disturbance or else parent might not be mature enough to take care of babies. If they are not taking care then you try to separate once fries started swimming and feed them by youself like egg york, BBS etc.

Depends, while raising fries mostly 45 days. If fries die the cycle might be early.

I lost 100 fries.. everday 7/10 after month ..only gave them microfeed fish food .. does a bit of excess food catches fungus.. and fish eats them and dies

Clean the remain excess food and 20%water change in a week also look for the temp. Morality of babies can be because on many reasons so observing timely is advicable..

When we can remove parents

They won't eat babies if feed well. Only get aggressive or might eat when they are ready again to lay eggs. So best time is before they get ready for breeding again.
