Robert Lewis shares a vision of manhood for father and son in terms of knighthood. Growing up with a poor relationship with his father, Pastor Lewis expresses how a man can change patterns for his sons and live by God’s code of conduct. You’ll learn how ceremony and legacy play a role in the impact you have on your son.

“Purity of motive” is the first kind of “purity”, so that they learn not to be double-minded, but clearly “focused” on the righteous life.

This is sooooooo important for such a time as this!! Please continue to reinforce this “proper” solution to this need of our dear boys!! This man is truly a “heart AND mind” guy!!! How we need more like him, because all our American children are STARVING for “fatherness”, in the family, and the church, and influencing the community. He speaks fluent “Jesus”.

Robert Lewis reminds me of Dr. Dobson's wisdom and Godly leadership. Easy to listen to and so helpful in our walk especially with our children.

How is a conversation this important sitting at only 10k views? Its more important than any course one will study in school.

I listened to this bc I'm a single mom w/ a teenage son who is complacent & I struggle to instill in him what it means to be a man from a woman's perpective. Ppl tell me that's a typical teenage boy, but is it? We r very close & it has always been just the 2 of us & I worry that I'm not getting thru to him bc I'm a nagging mom.

Hello, Dorothy. We encourage you to speak about your concerns regarding your son with one of our licensed counselors (at no cost to you). Just dial 800-232-6459 weekdays, 6 AM - 8 PM (MT). The staff member who answers the phone will arrange for a callback. Also, please take a look at our resources on single parenting - bddy.me/3vsD4Ol. We said a prayer for you and your son. May the Lord guide and bless you in the days to come.

I enjoyed this video, but I'm struggling with how he supported his mother to stay in an abusive marriage. And then celebrated once his father became a believer and they finished the race well. I'm so grateful that it worked out for them, but I feel like the message could be misunderstood (or even give misguided hope) to those who are in abusive marriages.
