I had one of these come through the animal shelter I work at. Was great at the facility and pretty well trained. He had issues in his hew home, though, because they were trying to dominate him, and they only knew him for a couple of weeks. People need to do their research and stop getting these powerful dominant dogs as a flex, knowing they aren't built to handle them

My presa turns 5 this year. He's great inside, but outside, he chases just about anything that runs from him. He hates frogs for some reason and is the biggest crybaby/attention craving dog I've ever had.

Rescued a pressa 4 yrs ago.. I have had a neopolitan before.. and I have to say .. the neopolitan is amazing and is my favourite.. but the pressa is, oh Lord.. what a breed.. extremely intelligent.. definitely not for the faint hearted.. not for those who don't know how to handle a dominant dog.. and extremely agile for a mastiff thats 75kg to 90kg. Amazing.. can't think of a better guard dog that can take down pretty much anything

every time that you have Presa Canario in the title, I click. proud owner of 2 Presa's: 1 male and the other female both under 5 years. male is a gentle, female is the more guardian. neither will let the other jump up on me. they have have been in 2 fights. she started both.

ANY dog can be aggressive. A young lady down the street owns a Cane Corso and a Chihuahua. Take a guess on which is "aggressive.". Pressas are terrific dogs, but too much for me and most who live in a city. A Rottie or Dobie, imo, are more than enough to guard and are smarter.
