There needs to be communal ownership started of land up for sale. Locally, land sold has come into 3 different forms of ownership.. The biggest block is a sort of common with edible fruit trees. This is still under way and was done to prevent a road that we saw as unnecessary and also took away recreational land. The 2nd became allotments so is council owned as there is a shortage and the 3rd was sold in blocks of around half an acre I think. It's used for grazing animals. More land being sold is being used to extend the common.

Aldi, in my local area when confronted, recently said they haven't used arla for 6 years, they now use muller. I don't believe a word they say. These supermarkets will never inform the public if that cow V is in the product. The manager was also asked, would you inform your customers if you sold milk or other products with this in? He said no, they don't have to. Time for change. When these people prioritise profit over life, its time for serious changes !

For those people saying farmers are rich. Fact: farmers are only rich in assets, not cash. Most earn no more than £25,000 a year. Their farming machines cost a lot of money, but without them, they couldn't farm. Plus they are up at 5 am every morning, and often don't finish until late evening. If we don't support them our imported food price will go through the roof. The food will be total crap. Wake up support our farmers!

I think we have two aspects to Farms in the UK. The small & medium size farms typically run by families (often for generations) and the huge corporate concerns which are run by accountants and economists. The ones protesting will be the Small and Medium Farmers and they are the only ones who will be interested in the Uk's farming heritage and providing local, good quality food to be proud of. These are also the farmers that we need to encourage and support to provide the means to sell direct to the public via farm shops, milk vending machines and local shops, suppliers, hotels etc.

I read it back then and always wondered what tf would be done to reach "carrying capacity" (0.5 to 1.5 billion). Now, it's clear: an all out assault on every front. All I knew was that the longer the delay, the more draconian their "solutions"... Until only a "final solution" remained.

I agree with the person regarding solar panels. I lived in North Dorset near Sturminster Newton where some selfish farmer wanter to cover a field in panels. The locals objected and so did the local council. He appealed the decision and the government over ruled us and the council and he went ahead with it, blighting the area. I hope that farmer gets his karmic justice.

I don't know the farmer in question. I don't know if he is selfish. I don't know if he wanted to cover his land with solar panels. I am not entirely sure what karmic justice is. Could it be that after years of slog and hostile governments and no realistic prospects of feeding his family, the desperate farmer sees a way to stay in business, so he can feed his family. I don't suppose you or I will be paying his bills if he choose not to take advantage of an opportunity. I am not a fan of the climate change hoax, or wind turbines and massive solar parks, but we don't know people's personal circumstances and motives are.

I'm just pointing out that if these solar companies are going to erect fencing that blocks public rights of way, then that is illegal and can be undone. What has this got to do with farmers having to repair fencing. I grew up in the 80s on a dairy herd in Devon, I have shepherded sheep flocks and I now farm olives in Spain. The only times I have had to repair fencing has because of wear and tear, livestock damage, or weather damage. I have not once experienced vandalism. However it is, as I well know, the responsibility of the land owner to keep public rights of way both accessible and well maintained. So quite frankly I've no idea what you are talking about. Oh and if you need to check if it is a footpath you can simply buy a 1:25k scale OS map upon which it will be clearly marked.
