This is actually a standard in Europe. My Dutch partner told me so 😅 since in Norway we do much more wooden floord and are using the heating system made of thin foil. However, we both now live in Turkey where they have very little knowledge of any of these systems. 😂 Here in Southern Turkey, warm floors are not so much used but if they make them it is mostly the way we did it in the very beginning in Europe. We do not have cold winters, so most people do not find it necessary. 😉

Take pictures of that under-floor heating system. It is a work of art! Those guys installing are very proficient in laying those plastic pipes as each room ends up perfectly spaced. I don’t know how they do that! The pattern is stunning!

I was happy today when you took a moment to talk about how strange it is to be this far along... at the apex, so close to finishing. I also am in awe of all the amazing technology of the pipes in the underfloor heating system... all the different parts and pieces of the puzzle that have to come together to make everything (water, electricity, gas? pipework, EVERYTHING) work harmoniously, with everyone doing their part... like a choir singing together in unison, to make a glorious song. As a Scot I will quite freely admit that I would never have thought to put underfloor heating in a house. We put in HRV system and air conditioning which is both hot/cold and filters the air, but it never occurred to me to put in this type of heating. Perhaps I’m very old fashioned and still think of it as luxurious- but it makes sense in a mountain home. And one with solar power.
