@@RaitisRides hey man, I don't mean to sound like a complete prik but Hyundai phonetically should be pronounced 'Hyun-day'. An easy way of saying the word, 'Yun' like the character from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, and simply add an 'H' sound to it. Sort of like 'Hee-yun Day' sound, not 'Hon-day' that would be incorrect.

@@battosaijenkins946 Basically, only Koreans say it that way. Even on the US adverts, it's not pronounced that way. If you want to be overly technical, the second part of the word isn't really pronounced "day" like the day of the week. It's pronounced more like the "dai" in the words daily or dairy (you wouldn't say "day"ry or "day"ly), but again only Koreans say it that way (the "correct" way). Just listen to a Korean ad or a Korean youtuber (like Asian Petrolhead) say it. But i will agree that these sounds (of certain consonant clusters and short vowel sounds) do exist in the English language, just not regularly used or in the required application. But there are a lot of foreign words/names that are just butchered in the United States and then just accepted as a correct pronunciation. Just think of all the Spanish names such as "RAH"D-ree-gezz (Rodriguez) just because many Americans can't be bothered into saying "Rroh"d-RREE-guess (stress is in all caps) correctly. But i guess it's easier to just go with the wrong pronunciation than to spend 10 minutes trying to get countless people to say it right and still say it wrong...

Just picked up a 2019 2.0T Ultimate FWD that was left over after the 2020's hit the lot. $4500 rebate right off the top, and with my owner loyalty rebate ($500) and veteran rebate ($500), that's $5500 under retail before negotiations. I was able to negotiate to invoice which took another $1900 off the price. Left me with a hair over $31000 before down payment. Hands down, the best deal I've ever got on a new vehicle. If you're in the market and there are any 2019's within driving distance, it's worth it to head that way soon. When I got mine, there were two additional 2019's left on the lot. The other two sold within two days of my purchase.

Outside, super sexy. Inside, should have been a watered down version of Palisade’s interior which is a better layout design than this. Test drove it a few months ago when Hyundai was offering $40 test drive gift cards, the outside looks even better in person, still didn’t care about the interior however it’s day and night from the last gen Santa Fe interior. By the way, love the camera angel facing the dash instead of your face for the driving review, Most of the reviewers including some big channels always mount their cams on the windshield which I skip most of the time, because I want to see the car while listening to the host not watching the host while listening to the car.

Edward Conner the reason the headlights are lower is because the blinding issue. Since the vehicle has a higher ride height, the traditional headlights would reflect into the rear view mirror in sedans. It also allows further headlight projection. There was an interview somewhere on the Internet asking for the explanation of the headlight set up. The point is to keep the lights lower and more visible. Hope this explains things. Also Jeep ditched the style because sales dropped for the Cherokee. Anyways, have a good one!

So they still have the 3 row seat in the market?? I’m supposed to look for the EX L model?
@vladimirtucklo50905 жыл бұрын
I’d like to get one but I don’t like cars having flag style side mirrors. Are Santa Fe’s making 3rd row? Palisades are too big to park in places like LA and in neighborhood where people not courteous in space sharing. I’m eyeing on Sorento’s.

Raiti, my 2019 Hyundai Ultimate 2.0T DOES have ventilated front seats !!! Are you sure that you are not reviewing the LIMITED and not the ULTIMATE ????? I think you are in error here....
@RaitisRides5 жыл бұрын
I never said this was an Ultimate. This is a limited. At this price point of the limited it should have ventilated from seats.
@steelydanfan1005 жыл бұрын
@@RaitisRides I understand, this is how car makers work, they sprinkle the goodies sparingly all the way to the top. The bigger NAV screen in the Ultimate was the other add-on, and the HUD display, which is very nice. I don't find the turbo lag to be bothersome at all, I am a light footed driver. By next year, Hyundai will sprinkle some goodies downward and add new ones at the top line. The Infinity audio system rocks.

Why would a 4-banger need 2 muffler and pipe setups? That would be a waste of money from manufacturing standpoint as well as a vehicle maintenance standpoint. Im afaid I have to zonk that part of your review.. as well as your pronunciation of the name "Honday" Hyundai's and Kia's are family cars. Families quite often have children. Children kick the seatbacks, so hard plastics is a must. They always use plastic on the backs of the seat for longevity. That should be thanked, not zonked.

Joe nice review this is a nice CUV but for me I'm just more of an American car guy it looks and seems to drive nice people don't know where Hyundai saves money it's in places you can't see some of the wiring and connector / sockets fail after awhile , which is why you sometime see taillight and turn signal out .It's still nice vehicle all manufacturer have some quirks that's just how it is!

I really enjoy your detailed and informative reviews! Im deciding between crosstrek limited and santa fe sel plus. Like the subie and off road abilty but concerned over CVT. Santa Fe actual automatic and great warrantee. Thoughts?

Thank you so much Greg! If you need the room the Santa Fe is going to be the way to go. The interior is much nicer than the Crosstrek.

So If I finance the Hyundai for the ten year warranty I only get three years of the blue link? And if I don’t subscribe to it for the next couple of years I lose my remote start capabilities? I love the blue link or at least what it says it does but regardless the remote start feature should be handled on the key fob as a backup just in case it’s two degrees outside and my phone is acting up or needs to be charged. Idk now I was thinking about getting this beauty but now I’m not so sure. I haven’t gone to any dealers yet but I was looking at this the passport and the Tiguan to finance. And possibly a rav4 or crv if worse comes to worse. But the price on this is awesome everything is awesome except for the no remote start on the key fob. It’s very important especially living in ny
