The gasoline only version on the Tundra and LX600 is the one having problems. The twin turbo V6 Hybrid version on the Sequoia is unaffected

I miss the 5.7 v8. It May be a gas hog, but no twin turbo issues. I feel that way about all naturally aspirated cars. Bad mpg, but the engine will last forever with no forced induction.

My thoughts exactly. If Toyota would have just put the 10 speed tranny on the 5.7, we may have got close to 1/2 the MPG improvement without all the problems associated with this new generation. Tundra/Sequoia was great, but not anymore.

The redesigned sequoia is a huge disappointment. The 3rd row and rear storage is a lot less space than the competition. I am looking at the redesigned aramada or just get the new QX80. Toyota need to come out with a grand sequoia. This vesion is pointless for people who needs a full size truck. Very disappointed the X7 has better 3rd row

We have a 23 tundra platinum and a 2015 sequoia platinum and I can honestly say the 2015 sequoia is better. Obviously some items are better in my new truck, but the overall drive, storage, reliability is better on the 2015.

I love Toyota for its reliability and was ready to pull the trigger on a new Sequoia until I saw the cargo area designed by engineers that Toyota hired from IKEA. I'm seriously looking at the new Nissan Armada instead, but want to wait another year to see if Toyota will fix this nightmare of a mistake.

I owned a Gen 1 Sequoia (sold at 265k miles) and currently own a Gen 2 sequoia (running great at 207k miles) and I love both of them. But I’ll never buy this generation if they don’t redesign the cargo area. I’ve never seen such a useless, impractical, waste of space in a large SUV as this. The fact Toyota approved this for production is mind blowing.

🇨🇦🙅🏽‍♂️ In Canada now it’s automatic if you buy a high-end vehicle that may get stolen like a Toyota Lexus Dodge ram, etc. etc. it’s an automatic $1500 upfront charge before you can put it on your insurance policy they’re also changing the reimbursement of the sale price. I think it’s prorated now and of course..if you get your shit stolen they cut the check to Toyota/ or whichever finance company/bank before anything else… basically end up with nothing and the last straw if it gets stolen again, they cut you right off the policy. That’s what’s happening now in Canada. 🇨🇦 We’re in a time that you can’t have anything nice ..😢 they’ll steal it when you’re asleep or they’ll come point blank in your face and tell you to exit the vehicle and take it right in from you … in broad daylight to boot 🥾…. My aunts have a 24 capstone and I’ve been in it a lot more often lately and I gotta say, these are definitely better in person than they are on camera. Now ik isn’t the most spacious on the segment but just for the 2 of them and 4 on road trips it’s more than adequate. The TT V6 is hella quick especially when you floor and it just sounds aggressive from the inside. Only complaint I have about it, is the rear vented seats. Idk if it’s the one they have or in general but they don’t seem to work all that well, almost as if nothing is pumping out. Second thing, the ride is nice but over bumps, it does not soak them up very well considering it’s a 80 grand suv. Now for 25 almost 90. Hopefully they improved upon that. Other than that, I would say this one of the better options in the segment if having the most space doesn’t matter to you

The 5.7 sequoia is the best Gen - the only one which all the seats folded flat and has the v8 reliability but didn’t compromise on power. Yes this new one is night and day to the old one except for reliability and for 70-80k the seats don’t fold flat, no offense but that’s a waste of a money pit for not even being practical of that size - better off if you get this vehicle if you don’t have kids lol or 1 kid tbh the cargo space is laughably bad for this price but the power and interior make up for it

Question, what make and model is best for Baby sets, the sets that small children have to raid in take up a lot of space when setting backwards, my son and daughter in-law have a 3year old and by December will have another child, most all auto and SUVs fall short in back set space, even those that call them full size, I think the only auto that will work is a minivan, any thought on this issue
