Have a nismo. When I was in the market I tried everything from a golf r to an m240i and nothing came close to the feeling of driving this thing. It just makes you smile. May be a little dated inside, but you just don't care when you're thrashing around country lanes in it. It's an absolute joy.

nes suno I daily mine and it's actually fairly civilised. Probably helps I'm 22 and don't really care about bumps etc, but I average 25 mpg and fill use about half a tank a week. Perfectly reasonable

The 370Z nismo is a damn good car but it is way overpriced for the performance it gives. Nismo in the last 10 years has become stickers, flares, bumpers and red stitching. Last I checked Nismo stands for Nissan Motorsports. We are sure getting a Nissan but we are not getting any motorsports. If Nissan is going to charge $15K to $18K more for a Nismo Z, I expect to get some performance and not some exhaust that I can get done on the street to do the same thing. The Nismo Z should have had higher compression, maybe a ported head, better flowing exhaust cam and different gear ratios. A solid 40 to 50 hp improvement would have been worth the xtra money spent.

Andreas Mikoleiczik you do get 3.92 gears with the Nismo. 10.5 rims while the sport model is only 9.5. That’s why they had to put the sport molding around the wheels. I like the Recaro seats over the sport seats. Also I’m happy with the Nismo body kit vs the regular Z. I also believe the resale value is higher on the Nismo vs the sport version. There’s only around 500 Nismo’s a year sold in the U.S. market.

Few notes here: 1. The 240z was introduced under the datsun name. The Datsun name was used in case the company failed at selling cars in the US market. If they failed it would have been looked at as a separate company. The models are 240,260,280,280zx,300zx(z31),300z(Z32),350,and finally 370z. The z32 ceased production after the 96 year in America because of rising production prices causing vehicle price to go up and no changes to the platform except for the 96 losing significant power to meet the new obd2 standards. The stitching on that nismo 370’s passenger seat on the upper part is kind of jacked up. I couldn’t help but notice it lol! Lastly if it had turbos they would fit down below just like the z32 300zx. There are plenty of aftermarket twin turbo kits available for the vq35,vq37, and vq37vhr engines oh and many super charger setups too. That will do it for now! Not trying to be a butthead but being a 30 year Nissan enthusiast, when I hear incorrect info it just compels me to help folks out. Nice video. Take care! Oh also, the Nissan name eventually overtook the Datsun name I believe it was around the 280zx/300zx (z31) models.

Kevin Neely why would Nissan put a turbo in this? Are you trying to blow it up? VQ35 and VQ37 are not built for FI. The VG30DETT in the 300z is meant for turbos and is way more durable than these motors

bernardo ojeda like I said they make kits for these motors all day. If the motor is not built, boost is limited to 7 psi. As long as you keep boost levels low it’s fine. Been tested over and over again. Of course if you want to turn up the boost then you build the block and go big! Or just supercharge it with one of the kits available today. I have a ton of folks with boosted 370’s with stock bottom ends. If you are responsible with boost you will be fine. When the 350z first came out within a year greddy had a twin turbo kit for it boosting at 7 psi

I replied to this earlier but I guess it did not go through. Listen bro when the vq35de came out within 8 months greddy had a twin turbo kit for it. Many other companies soon followed suit. The vq35de,vq37,vq37vhr all have access to after market turbo kits. AS LONG AS YOU RUN NO MORE THAN 7 psi. You will not have an issue. If you have the discipline you will be ok. Most folks don’t have that type of discipline and blow their motors up. I have plenty of 370z buddies that have tt kits on their cars. Some have built bottom ends and some do not. The ones that do are putting down 400 to 600 whp. As far as the vg30dett I know all about it as I currently own one and have had 5 total. My insider info tells me that nissan is planning to release the next gen z as a twin turbo with 400 plus hp. My sources also tell me that the next gen r36GTR will be close to or about 700 hp. They have never let me down in the last 25’years so we will see soon enough. So overall you are right the vq series was not built for boost but there are plenty of them out there boosting right now. I know a lot of keyboard warriors love to rag on the Z because it's old, but I love mine. I have '16 Nismo(same color), threw a Fast Intentions TT kit on it with a flex fuel tune controlled with an Ecutek flash, and it's straight. Got turboed at about 6k miles and I'm at a tick under 25k miles now. Stock motor, nice tune, and no problems. Is the car a bit rough compared to newer models? Yes. Would I like the latest, greatest sports car? Yes, but even before the turbos this car was fun to drive and has no problems hitting corners. Before the turbos it was also pretty quick and now when you put your foot in it it really, really moves. Good reviews man and I hope your channel continues to grow.

the guys saying the performance is disappointing clearly haven't driven a Z, the Z is a car with tons of character, it will surprise you in terms of what it can do, i got my Nismo Z on a whim without thinking much but was shocked in how amazing it drives, its so fun and so connected to the driver that will make you fall in love the more you drive it. Feeling is the hardest thing to engineer, amazing that Nissan engineers can make something like this. The Nismo Z has one of the most well balanced chassis in a front engined car, for those who want more power... you can add a aftermarket twin turbo kit but that takes something away from the character, kind of like the future Z, aka 400Z, has that twin turbo maybe AWD but feel like it will no longer be the Z it is, so this generation of Z with big NA V6 is precious in its unique way, if you are lucky to own one, cherish it and have fun cuz once its gone its gone, won't see a car like this again as the market is shifting towards turbos and hybrids.

Thank you so much for this excellent video on the Nismo 370Z! I have a red 2016 Nismo and love it. Especially how the car just plants you in the seat under acceleration or hard steering when the seatbelts clamp tighter. Nissan has discontinued the silver and the red Nismo Z's for 2019 as of now. Also the "Z" marker on the side of the car acts as a turn signal when the signals are activated.

Now let's talk about the car...🤔 9 years making the same car and yet they can not seem to understand that those "L" shape headlights and stop lights are the biggest flaw. Absolutely horrendous!! I do like the history where this car is coming from but it's 2019!! No fiber glass! I mean for 47k I could get so much more elsewhere. I do like the numbers and the tunning and mods you can do to this car. What I do like about this car is the possibilities when it comes to performance but honestly this car has had this outdated interior and exterior for the las 4 years at least. Hopefully by 2020 Nissan will give to the people something exciting and worth buying in this category. Of course Nissan has the GTR wich is to me the pinnacle of perfection for a Nissan vehicle and quite frankly a phenomenal car but the 370z is so far far away from that.

It might be a great solution. All they have to do is lower the engine and it also would help with the center of gravity.

i was scrolling down the comments and i see lots and lots and lots of people saying that where is the 15k worth of upgrades well i own a 2011 nismo 370z let me tell you where your money went you have better suspension than the regular z, better drive shaft, better brakes, better seats, more power(350hp), better tyres, lighter rims,upgraded transmission shift engagement, better sway bars made by yokohama, unique body parts for the nismo with better aerodynamics for high speed cornering, nismo exhaust, upgraded air filters, sportier ecu tune from nismo factory and that's all i can think of right mow at the moment i might be missing some more parts but this information is from the nismo web page so in my own opinion i now where my 15k extra went and i can feel the difference between the regular 370z from my nismo.

I would love to see the under body of a standard,sports, and Nismo 370z. Also the clock comes in handy more then you think when your driving fast. The battery voltage meter makes no sense to me, can anyone please explain. The media screen looks more distracting then helpful I would assume unless your looking more at it instead of driving. Get rid of that since we all have smart phones, give all the Z's Bose systems with a joystick nob handle next to the steering wheel that controls the radio. And the manufacture should move the rev match button on the stick shift with a sunken button, thanks for the awesome videos!

Raiti's Rides Im restoring them as we speak. 2 yrs. And a few months later building both at once.I m back dating a 78 280Z to 240 z carbs , tail lights and front turn signals. Im lowering them mild resto mods. I also reduced the weight of the chassis down to the 240 by eliminating metal the 240 didnt have. Minus the heavier strut housings and rear diff. They will be practicaly the same wieght. Again just for street driving not racing in any form.both mildly breathed on original rebuilt L28s carbs headers Electronic ignition.15 in x 7 wheels with 50 series extreme summer tires. Front air dam and rear classic spoiler. I had lots of them in the 80s when they were used cars ,not classics.( But to me they were ALWAYs affordable Ferraris.)

I bought my Black Nismo 9/3/2018 In Las Vegas. I love my car, it’s fast & pretty Roomle. I only have 150 miles. I’ve been told I have the only Black one in Vegas...1 big flaws is you can’t see if someone is besides you & for that reason it should have a warning light on the side mirrors that let you know a car is approaching. My Husband has this on his 2019 Audi A4

Just been out in mine for a blast. Great video for a fantastic car. No it's not the most modern inside but for me that's part of its appeal. All those analogue dials lit up is something to behold. Having owned and driven many hot hatches over the year's the Nismo Nissan harks back to the grass routes of sports cars. Front engined, RWD, non turbo. A fantastic car which looks great, is amazing to drive and with Japanese reliability is a winner for me.

Actually the air underneath the car can be used and be beneficial. Depending on design you can produce high speed air with low pressure can be diffused in the rear bumper and create a suction effect giving you a Beneficial downforce gain... Braking BBK is available on the sport edition too and the support on the shock towers comes on all models. The nismo has seats, shocks, 15hp, nicer bumpers, gauge accents, 1/2” fender trim and a resonating exhaust sound through the stereo for 15k more. Waste of $$$ when you could mod your car to get better performance gains with the extra cash.

Yes the NISMO is only available with only the Recaros. They really aren't too tight! I would recommend sitting in one to see exactly how it feels!

2017 black. I really do like the car but I have two problems with it. Fabric on the steering wheel dries out my hands and lots of other people say the same thing. Car NEEDS another 75 HP. Other then that it really is awesome. 2006 base Corvette was the car I had be for the Nismo 370.

Bud Gagnon The looks of the 370 when it came was and still is a huge turn off for me. I looks dumpy in the ass..short and stubby. The interior is another point for me with the three dash pods and the odd digital guage on the left of the dash. At least one of my dash pods on my 350 is programmable to display different info that I choose. The only 370z that I would consider is a Nismo edition but pre body change... I like the smoother lines and the big wing. Lets hope the Nissan doesn’t screw up the next Z, if they decide to do it. ***And I wish Nissan kept the bump in the hood as every Z had one except the early 350’s and now the 370’s. I think the 2007-2008 350 hood is on point with the Z heritage. I know the bump was needed for engine clearance but NIssan could have kept it on the 370. Im nit picking of course and Im deciding on a potential TT build of an older 370 Nismo..

I like the looks of these but the ride is not good. Honda type r is a great handling car, great road feel experience and doesn’t thrash you while driving. This has more hp but id rather be comfortable

One of my cars is a 2012 370z. i barely have 22k miles on it. Dude you don't want to daily a 370Z. It's more of my weekend car.It's a fun car to drive that will put a smile on your face,but it's not for daily driving.

2017 black Nismo. Last two cars were manual. I'm glad I picked up the 370 in Auto. You can take turns with paddle shifters just as good if not better then with a clutch and stick. Its also much better in traffic.
