Is the Callaway SC757 Z06 BETTER than a 2019 Corvette ZR1?

Callaway Cars has been connected with Chevrolet and the Corvette since the 1980's. This Callaway SC757 Z06 is the culmination of those efforts. The 6.2L supercharged V8 pumps out 757 HP and 777 ft lbs of torque. On top of it's mind blowing performance it comes with a fully warranty through Chevrolet. Love the Callaway and always get my attention when I see one in the street, but the ZR1 is just special.....I saw them side by side on a review last year, it didn't take me long to pick that ZR1 over Callaway.....its just that special ...😎

That cut out came from the Suzuki Burgman Skywave/AN400 maxi scooter back in 1998, it enabled riders to put both feet down at traffic lights. Try it in a car, your left leg Tom's right leg !

The question you asked us, is the calloway Z06 better than the 2019 ZR1? truthfully, I don't know enough about either vehicle to honestly answer that. Great review as always Joe. Callaway does a great job. Love 757 airline Horsepower. Not feeling the double wing thing though. Looks Japanese to me. Seems like they could have done something with the stock wing.

Rock chips are eminent with those tires. And just when I think I've seen and heard it all. Two Vette reviews this month and the month isn't even half over. You know Joe, it's always said that "things run in three's." lol Get it? Three, as in Uno, dos, TRES or, Un, deux, TROIS. LOL These Callway's are big bucks, but you get a full factory warranty with them. They must be doing something right because they have their own dedicated Aisle for their builds at Corvettes at Carlisle. Thanks for this review and as always, Save the Wave.

Being in the Corvette "world" since 1992, I've seen tuners come and go. Callaway used to have a great reputation. Their C4 cars were great, at the time, but since the start of the C5 they've been more known for their BS. I've read multiple magazine articles over the last twenty years that have trashed Callaway's power claims. At a Corvette event in Panama City last year I talked to two SC757 owners (there were only two there) who both loved their cars, but were hugely disappointed with the power. One was from Tennessee, while the other was from Georgia. They both dyno'd their cars after receiving them and were putting down about 575whp and 590whp respectively (one had changed a pulley). Those are nowhere near the numbers they should be posting. Yes, they were both automatics (ugh!) but those are still VERY low numbers when Callaway is claiming these SC757s are putting down around 660whp. Go on the forums and you'll find more of the same. Callaway does, undoubtedly, make great interiors and their brake upgrades (for a non-Z51 coupe or convertible) are excellent. Just don't waste your money on their supercharger systems. What’s the Big difference from this car and a ZR1? How much does it cost. Same or more than a ZR1?

IT's less than a ZR1. This has 757HP.

Biggest difference is the blower; ZR1 uses an Eaton TVS R2650 while the Callaway uses the smaller TVS R2300 that was featured on the old C6 ZR1. Also, this car has a direct injection fuel system while the ZR1 has both DI and multi-port fuel systems.
