Let's be real here. Just because "it's a fact" doesn't mean it's necessary and it doesn't mean it can't be used as an attack. I was fortunate enough to witness Kobe's career with the Lakers from first day to last. Raja Bell played Kobe tougher than any other player I remember, and I watched nearly every game during that time. I legitimately disliked Raja, but I had a ton of respect for the guy and always secretly wished he played for the Lakers. Every time the Lakers played the Suns, it was "oh no, we have to go up against Raja Bell again". Much respect to Raja Bell then, and now as well.

As a coach myself I always ask my kids “why do you want to play football” if they say anything that starts with “because my dad...” “because my mom...” “my parents wanted me...” I walk over to that kids parents and tell them myself this sport isn’t for your kid. Kids should play sports because they want to and understand fully what they are getting into not because their parents made them. Those kids don’t miss practice for other sports or activities, those kids come to practice because they want to.
