Once you roast and peel the poblano peppers, this Mexican dish is so easy to make. And it's so delicious. Let me know in the comments if you already make rajas, or if you'll be making them now.

Great recipe! I added just 1/2 tsp of chili powder and used queso fresco for more authentic flavor. A little cayenne wakes it up too!

I think a good additional step for more flavor would be to deglaze the pan with a half cup of water or, even better, chicken broth before adding the crema. This would make it much easier to ensure you get all that additional flavor from the bottom of the pan.

I learned about Poblano chiles from spending lots of time in Arizona and New Mexico. It's an incredible addition to any dish. Especially creamy recipes!

I agree. They're very mild, but still flavorful, so anyone can eat them.

Im so sorry to ask, but can i purchase poblano peppers in a jar already peeled?! I would like to try charring and peeling , but curious if theres a shortcut for ease. I love your channel!!
@13Voodoobilly69 Жыл бұрын
You made me curious as I have never see roasted poblanos frozen or canned and I live in the southwest. A quick google and Amazon search returned one brand of caned. Don’t confuse Ortega brand green chiles or any other brand that says green chile as as they are not poblano peppers.

We acquired some free poblano peppers and had all other ingredients on hand so I gave it a try. This is the second recipe I've tried with poblano peppers. Not a fan. It is too bland, even after trying to kick up the heat with 1/4 tsp of cayenne and serrano pepper. It was just okay and not worthy of spending money on the other expensive ingredients... like cheese and cream/sour cream. Very ordinary.
