I am Just a bit confused here mate, what if someone goes back and across like virat kohli just before the ball delivered. Then how the batsman going to adjust? Specially when the ball is swinging and full length. It would be really hard to take another step back in the line of ball or batsman has to be really quick with picking length? What are you thought on this?

So, as I understand this is good for defense but what about transitioning to punch that ball on back foot. Does the batsman needs to be in this position to punch or be in position where batsman is slightly away from the ball line to punch through cover as the original position where batsman started ? Thx

I have some questions for you sir. My coach tell me everytime that don't go on backfoot even if you are getting short of good length bowl, he says just stay in the position don't go forward or backward just play the ball from your position just meet the bowl. Does it make sense ????
