Taking stairs has proven to be really good for me. I'm 80 years old and not someone who exercises a lot but for over 30 years I have taken the stairs to my apt. ,and only one flight; It has absolutely helped me in my old age. I don't like elevators so that's why I started doing stairs and soon realized the benefits. My legs, thighs are strong. I also use stairs to go to upper floor i my pharmacy while most other customers use the elevator. two flights!. My advice is use the stairs whenever possible.

If I was “acting” different. And finally in times of distress I would lose my appetite. He would make comments on my body if I would gain or lose weight. I was waaaaiting for this video for so long ❤ I'm a dancer and it took me long enough to realize that I needed to go to the gym, for my injuries. So here I am, searching for inspirations and pep talks, cause I don't like to go very much. And this helps ❤❤❤

Loved the episode! The Tamil aunties and uncles were also my villains when I was a skinny, lanky teenage girl. Thank you for sharing that bit about your choice of music - I don't feel odd anymore for listening to "Kalinga nartana tillana" by Aruna Sairam while running.😂 Laughed at "Jesus with a six pack" being your inspiration - he most definitely would have had a hell of a core work out being a carpenter!

Do you ever look around a gym and think, all these people are trying to improve themselves just a little bit. That's pretty cool

Last month I tried to introduce one of your videos to my brother, he looked at me like “is this one of your indians?” (I watch bollywood… and I am latina and most likely is how I found you in my recommended in the first place) he didn’t give the video an opportunity and simply moved on, I felt sad. Indian or not, you are just a very charming person you have a jenesequa that makes you very lovely and that’s why I wanted to introduce your videos to him.

No skincare first! Skin looks extra fresh here. When I see him in mean girls and now his skin is much brighter now. And unlike many brown people including myself no hyperpigmentation. How?!

Thank You for this video! I could tell that you worked out because you always look good in your clothes, and you always have that confident aire about you! I've been working out one way or another for over 40 years. A long period of that was 'body building'. Now, in my 70's, it's walking 3.5 miles a day and 50 minutes of yoga every day. Since I started working out I've had a mantra....IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY, WHERE WILL YOU LIVE? Also, when anyone was starting a program of any sort, I would tell them that YOU WON'T SEE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR BODY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS..........BUT, YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR MIND WHEN YOU WALK OUT OF HERE TODAY!

I just realized that one of the many reasons that I love your videos so much is that they remind me of Mister Rogers. You create the same kind of quiet, intimate, and inviting atmosphere that he always did. Thank you so much for being you and for sharing your lovely videos with us 💜

It's so refreshing to see someone who has a healthy relationship with their body image and working out. I got bit by the fitness bug in my final few years of university. It was incredibly difficult to not get caught up with the gym-bro culture that spiraled into a "bigger/more is better" mentality and body dysmorphia. You're going about things in a way I wish I had done in my first go at fitness. Thanks for sharing, Rajiv!

Oh there Rajiv goes again, being a wonderful role model to men everywhere. :P Thank you for being vulnerable with us and sharing not only your fitness journey, but how your thoughts about your own body have grown and evolved over the years. I feel like it's very rare to hear men speak this way about body mage, even though it's very much needed. 💜

You crack me up Rajiv 😆. The Rocky-esque soundtrack wasn't lost on me, about spit out my tea when you mentioned Jesus having a 'six pack' {abs}. Neanderthals from Bedrock who throw down weights & grunt are often 'newbies' to weight training, the remaining percentage tends to be show offs. Give newbies time and they usually realize how silly it appears. I love weight training and use the machines & weights you did. One I didn't see you use {unless I missed it} is pulldown bar, it works shoulders, back, and arms, love it. Yup weight training is just as much about mind as it is body, more so in the mind. I can attest It improves other areas of life!

Good for you Rajiv, It’s great that you started working out while young. Hence, I started pretty late consistently when I was 50 and boy was it a challenge. I am a 6’3 tall and now after five years later I am happy with my results and completely chiseled body. Thanks for sharing your story!
