Very informative video but one thing i felt i should tell you that, loud background music distracts a lot in informative videos. it must be soft so that the focus ia always on the teller.

Hi Rajiv! I think about 10 years back I adopted the first step you told. It backfired on me I don't know how. I am a retail business owner and I have 7 salesmen working at my store. Long story short one of them was smart. I started teaching him some things about business because he was a good salesman. Everything was going alright and something happened I don't remember much but I noticed leakage in my business. He also started to become overconfident and arrogant. Whenever I ask him about accounts and inventory he replies with " apko Kia pata aap toh ab store per hote nai ho. Apko karobar karna ata nai hai." This I found very rude. He started stealing some products and used to sell them outside the store in secret to his relatives. I had to fire him. This was the first time I had to fire someone. Few months later he came back to apologize and asked to recruit him back. I forgave him but I didn't hire him.

Make proper system in each department. Implement that's through SOP. Same time built a strong team with proper training.

@@JithinGeorge Hey Jithin! Can you tell me more about this? I want my business to run and make cash flows on autopilot mode so that I don't have to be around all the time at the store. I have now 4 salesmen, all of them working for me for more than 15 years. But still at some point they make mistakes or couldn't make proper judgement nor make quick decisions.

Chhote system ka bada hissa ya bade system ka chhota hissa. You need to decide what would be suitable for a particular employee. 😊 If you are making him chhote system ka bada hissa he will not be motivated just by a salary pay check since now he has understood in and out of your business. If you trust him you can provide him a share in your business. If you don't trust an individual, just make him specialist in a particular role. You need to have a proper balance in your business. You talk very well and everything is good but I have a question, is your business on autopilot mode? If yes why you these videos? And that too with lots of effort you only record all of them. Are you not self employed? Then what is the difference? Not trying to show anyone down but just a genuine curious question coming to my mind... it would be wonderful to get answered in video.

Thank you for this question... Have always waited for someone to ask me this question... So when I say the business shouldn't be dependent on the business owner, what I mean is that you need to setup strategies, systems and teams in multiple functions of your business like Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR, Accounts and Management... In my case, I have teams, systems and strategies for Accounts, HR, Operations and Sales... My personal involvement is in Management and Marketing... The key to understand is this, it's not wrong for a business owner to be involved... The challenge comes when the business owner is involved in too many things and becomes the bottleneck of consistency of activities... I always recommend that the owner should be responsible for Management so they can drive strategic growth for future and performance excellence for the present and beyond that the owner should choose 1 or max 2 other activities from marketing, sales, ops or finance and be a doer based on their skills... In my case, we are a 125 member team at Quantum Leap, our core business is 1to1 Business Coaching for MSME owners to help them scale, but I don't coach anyone... Hope this gives you a perspective 🙂🙏👍

In reality, there's NO BUSINESS on auto pilot mode.... That's the reason, the biggest business houses work hard on HIRING the right TOP MANAGEMENT, who take care of mid management teams & so on... THERE'S NOTHING CALLED....AUTO PILOT IN BUSINESS... 😃😃😊😊
