The transition from short hair to long hair, or from tomboy to saari didn't make Rahul fall for Anjali, though it may appear to be so. Remember that scene where Rahul reminiscences, jhalli thhi meri anjali. Also how he practiced basketball for 8 years, he missed her always : "jab mujhe mere dost ki zarurat thhi tum toh thhi hi nahi". He loved her always, he just couldn't realize it then as she was always an integral part of his life, Tina walks in, and he got attracted. The station scene when Anjali left also speaks a lot, not only did Tina but also the audience could read the pain in Rahul's eyes. The transition of Anjali speaks about the yrs she went through instead and worked on herself, how she thinks he could have liked her. Again its a no brainer, but love makes ppl do crazy things. You may call it stereotyped, outdated, too cliche or whatever, but those who have loved this classic will love it forever. Tumne sirf ussi se pyaar kiya hai, jab se tumne pyaar ko samjha hai pyaar ko jaana hai!!! P.S- I love Karan's honesty here!!

Karan Johar is real, I have always felt like hearing his thought, sometimes he goes ahead of himself, but he is such a delight, real and authentic guy.. accepting of himself and strangely of all criticisms, opinions..I cant fathom the thought of him being disliked..I dont see a reason why the man gets the slack or trolled..he manages to keep himself alive in a true sense, he knows his light is more than the darkness that might surround him..all love and cheers to you Karan Johar!!

I think Rahul saying pyaar ek hi baar hota hai and shadi ek hi baar karte hain and doing it twice was what made "love" so special for me. Love is this, it challenges your own beliefs, it makes you question everything that you believed to be true, it breaks you, shakes you and yet is the most soothing feeling ever. It's a pain that is soft to touch. It's anger that comes from heart. It's that tear that cleanses your eyes.

Only thing which cms in my mind is -why do a group of people hate him, no matters wht all good things he does, he gets targeted very soon in-fact first .. instead of acceptance, faith , he gets criticism first ..see the comment box full of appreciation but when the real test time comes, suddenly wht happens ??..I wish the coming new year 2021 totally changes his life 🦋🙏 He , his children , Mumma gets complete love , blessings from the Universe.. no negativity dares to come closer .Be Pure, Fair Minded (in professional & personal life) Vibe High and create your own new world 🌎 KARAN 🙏

Karan has become so insufferable how he defends nepotism. "Took a year off, had a backup plan in dad's 2nd business, went to London to shop for KKHH"... THAT IS PRIVILEGE that an average filmmaker doesnt get.
@adityasen2281
@adityasen2281 5 жыл бұрын
Taking a year off to follow your passion is nepotism? He co-wrote DDLJ and worked as an assistant director as well as a fashion designer to learn filmmaking. Made contacts with SRK & Kajol, such that they themselves said they would like to be part of his first film even without having a story. Going to shop in London was something which was his indulgence, which was among the integral things in making his film successful and create his brand of cinema. Even if other filmmakers were given more money, they would have not taken the pains to go and shop themselves for the clothes. You might not know, but his dad had mortaged his porperty to raise money for the film. And to succeed in your debut film so much so that it becomes one of the highest grossing films of that year and recreate the magic of srk-kajol after ddlj and live up to that hype was indeed commendable. He himself admits that his father being a producer gave him a chance to direct a film, but dharma productions was into losses at that time, and not a big production company that it is now. It was with KKHH's blockbuster success that the fortunes of the company changed and it is what it is today.

@@adityasen2281 Taking a year off without having a job to pay your bills because your rich dad can fund your expenses IS a privilege. Other people have lets say, 8 degrees of separation from SRK and Kajol and Salman. He had 2-3 degrees of separation from "Stars" because of Nepotism.

@@sybaritesphynx8057 i guess, then you are confusing privilege with nepotism. Anyone who is born in a well to do family will have certain privileges but nepotism is taking undue advantage & favouritism to take up someone else's job just by use of contacts and taking place of someone more deserving. In karan's case, he by not going to a film school/higher education saved a decent amount of money of his parents. Instead by becoming an assistant director, probably got some money, gained experience and landed in superstars for his debut film. Thats called making most of your oppurtunity. And as I mentioned all directors who dharma worked with before could not deliver a superhit, but karan could. So giving their son a chance was not really an undue favour or nepotism acc to me. Rest you can carry with your bias.

aditya sen Karan could cast big names in his movie BECAUSE OF NEPOTISM. Salman even Said he was doing the movie for his father. SRK even gave him time because he was a Johar. He was an insider. His father was the producer. That’s literally nepotism. No need to mansplain to me what nepotism means lmao. And he had added privileges. You are the one biased because you are defending him to the fault lol I actually like Karan’s movies but I can also call him out on his nepotism. That’s called being unbiased Have a nice day.

Am I the one of the few who doesn't care of this movie since 1999 onwards. I honestly found this extremely overrated and felt bad that the movie of the year (1998) was Sathya which is the actual classic which stays even now.

Karan Johar, please start making/shooting your movies within India. Why do you take all that business overseas and showcase other countries' beauty rather than showcasing your own country. People from west come to India and shoot terrible movies like Slumdog and portray to the world how India is in such a terrible shape. Contrary you guys go overseas and only capture the most amazing scenic stuff of the west. Why????? Please show respect for your country, India, through your movies. Take Sunny Deol as an example, who made an extraordinary effort to shoot within the beautiful mountain ranges of India. Start making local, otherwise Indian economy will never grow.

He is so witty and smart. Pity he's been making bad, melodramatic cinema for so long. I would love to be friends with him but his movies are not my thing. His role models and the type of cinema he looks up to are pretty bad. The 80s and 90s commercial shit, worst timeline to take inspiration from.

idont think Kjo should be apologetic about Rahul falling for Anjali when she became more feminine. Being attracted to something specific is really a preference. One can be attracted to more feminine women and while others can be attracted to a not so feminine women. Its really a preference. Anjali not only becomes more feminine, she becomes milder as well. They beautifully completed each other when they matured. Not that hey didn't complete each other when younger .. it was not their time is all.
