I should make it clear that the 2 modified mags used were very much works in progress, so some failures were to be expected. Hopefully future iterations will be more reliable in the gun

What worked better for me is not modding the mag but the magcatch on the gun. I had to import my mags from the uk because they dont sell them here so i didnt want to tinker with them. i just modifiet the magcatch with a dremel until they clicked in. Feeding is 99 % reliable for all 5 mags

Nice! I'd love to see an AK platform in .22wmr at some point. Not that I can really afford more guns now after buying a .50 😅

It would be cool, but I don’t think there’s much of a market for it. FYI - you’ll never be able to afford anything again now you have to feed a .50 😂

@@Range23 Ammo isn't as bad as I expected, I'm set up to reload for it and assuming I get 10 firings per case it's about £3.50 a shot. Not cheap but it's not like I'm shooting hundreds of rounds at a time with it either. If you're ever up at North Cotes Butts you're welcome to shoot it!

The German mpi 69 mags are perfect with if you just pop the pins out and move the feed lip assembly down a tad bit and re pin it

Thanks. That’s good to know. I had an East German 22lr AK trainer mag sent over to test, but it wouldn’t even lock in. I didn’t experiment any further with it as it wasn’t mine to destroy 😂

The feed lip module needs to be pressed down approximately like a half inch down just to where it barely touches the ejector tab against the lip

Nothing official. I use the Black Dog WASR mags, they need a bit of work to fit and ideally the gun needs some spacers in it, but now I’ve got them sorted they’re running incredibly well

KZbin doesn’t like ‘disassembling’ firearms. They even classed attaching suppressors and inserting magazines as ‘firearm modification’ earlier this year, they deleted videos and gave channel strikes for it.

The GSG isn’t an AK, it’s a pot metal gun wrapped up to look like one. It all depends what you require form it though, it may well do everything you need it to.

KZbin doesn’t like it. Videos can get demonetised, throttled or even deleted for showing that on screen. Same with attaching and detaching suppressors

How do you unpin a mag ?

Just take it apart and remove the pin. Once you’ve got it open it will be easy to see 👍🏻
