Raking and Baling Alfalfa with a JD 4230 and 4640

Raking hay with a John Deere 4230, and baling hay with a John Deere 4640. The video also has some footage of a John Deere 3020 PowerShift loading hay being pulled with a 1997 F-250 with 7.3 PowerStroke diesel. The baler is a Hesston 4790.

Beautiful hay! I finished my worst haying season about a month ago. It's not to often we get to make hay this late in the year but one year I baled on November 3. The next morning there was 4 inches of snow on the ground. Great video!

what is it about dogs and hay equipment? My dog, Mickey, would follow me on the John Deere 60 with the New Holland baler until his foot pads would bleed from walking in the alfalfa stubble. I am in Idaho Falls, we drove through the area looking at leaves this fall. Beautiful.
