Preview of my 1984 Mk2 Mag Burner.
I’ll be cleaning this one up and keeping it as original as possible. Look out for the resto edit in the next month or so.

@@chasetherainbow you can get blue brake on ebay the full kit for about £75 new I have use I set not bad for the money

Badger Anodising Birmingham. I had a set of weinmann 1020 calipers and levers done by them in blue for my Mk2 mag. Pretty reasonable price.

Lol 😂 I’m running out of time. I’m working in London during March & April, and then off to The Alps for the Summer. I should get it all cleaned up and serviced. It’s just those bloody brakes that might slow it up.

This was my first bmx, bought from a boot fair in the mid 90s for £20. I remember the cross bar on the Handel bars had a v shaped dip in it?

That’s was a bargain buy compared to todays prices 😊 The Mk1 has Vee Bars. Did the frame have a two-hole gusset welded In to the front triangle? Thanks for commenting 👍

@@chasetherainbow yes it had a reinforced gusset with 2 holes in it, blue frame which was slightly flattened I could be wrong though, yellow mag wheels, blue tyres with yellow pads a slanted back seat post with a horrible blue plastic seat and the number 12 on a plastic panel which went across the front of the Handel bars. I was about 10 when I got it, my dad through it away when I got a new bike. I’ve been on the hunt for 1 at the boot fairs to restore for the last few years but no luck.

Came across a mag 20 in decent nick in the garage. Is there any value to these as I was gonna take it to the scrapper

Yes. The Mag 20’s are quite a late model. Does it have “R” cut-outs in the frame and fork dropouts? It also depends on the components that are fitted and the overall condition; Raleigh chucked all sorts on to the later bikes. EBay is the best place to find out it’s true worth - put it on a 99p auction listing for the most interest. It could fetch anything from £150-300. Prices are a bit down though at the minute, and because it’s a less desirable model it’s anyones guess. Thanks for commenting 👍
