Sad that some were able to buy several of the bikes and now selling them on eBay and Facebook for up to £1850. Raleigh should have limited the online sale to one per customer as obviously many enthusiasts have missed out.

@IconicBrands123 Жыл бұрын
@jamesgriffiths3057 yes unfortunately this is true Raleigh didn’t market this very well with some confusion guess they knew they would sell them all online without using retailers. Raleigh also quoted it was a limited edition but clearly this was not the case as more are on the way over from Taiwan.

I had a mk2 in yellow. Being a Nottingham lad, there was a huge sense of pride connected with owning and riding one. Every one of my mate's had a Raleigh, some of their Dad's worked at the factory. It's great to see a return to form with this mk4. The pricing seems very cynical though and it's a shame they aren't at least assembled in Nottingham. If they were, then perhaps that price could be justified.

As a kid had an ultra-violet mk2 Chopper in 1973, when I was 10. I bought another mk2 in the early 90s for 20 quid, long before the prices went crazy for these things. Problem with me being 6ft, 2in, the bike was just too small to enjoy riding it properly, so I sold it on. After all the Chopper was a child's bike. So I assume this mk4 would still be too small for me?

I know this may be a silly question. But who is this bike aimed at. The original was a children's bike. At £950 I can't see it being a kids bike and for adults to ride it comfortably it must be a bit small to be actually comfortable. Yeah some people may purchase them for nostalgic reasons but it's a weighty bit of kit for that price.

The chopper is good for , drifting round corners, broadsides, and I never knew it at the time, but I learned to counter steer on my orange MK2 withe black chopper decals, handy if you progress to a motorbike in the future, it's not a stunt bike tho , it's more of a cruiser, and regardless what you hear do NOT try to wheelie it, as soon as the weight comes of the front wheel the back wheel tries to overtake it , and it WILL flip over, and when you mount it remember about the gear lever, don't kick it or even tap it with your foot, there easy damaged, so enjoy your chopper guys n gals , lucky little so and so,s,, happy healthy ✌️
