Rover 100 Dealer Showroom Video from August 1995. And before you unleash a wave of sarcastic comments (a) remember what the other small cars were like back in 1995 and (b) they were pretty good to drive with a good view, lovely K-series engine, good steering and handling. I drove one the length of England on back roads and it was good fun and returned 45 MPG. OK, that's my impression, now your turn! (And yes, I do know about the EuroNCAP test).

it was the beginning of the end for metro punto and polo/Ibiza had just come onto the market. Then it was a rival for KA.

That was a dated way of promoting cars even then. They really didn't have a bloody clue. Nice cars though.

James Holland it IS bad in EURONCap crash tests, 1 star, high risk of leg thigh foot and ankle injuries along with a bleeding torso, a poor steering wheel intrusion that makes the airbag ineffective (the head rolls off it and the head bangs the door), atrocious deformation of the passenger and driver compartment in frontal impact and high risk of whiplash in the back.

Driver's airbag OPTIONAL, DREADFUL crash performance, CRAMPED rear seats caused by fitting whapping huge seats in the front gobbling up the rear legroom, based on an 80's Metro floorpan and cobbled together. Woefully out of date then, sinfully obsolete now thanks to MG Rover going belly up in 2005.
