Great video! 944s are famous for worn out shift linkages, bad fuel pumps and clogged fuel filters!

The good thing about your channel is ,the rest of us that will never have a chance of ever owning or seeing cars like yours, well , you go the extra mile to try to give us the best experience, and we thank you for that, 🎉

I mean 944’s are kinda surprisingly hilariously cheap for what they are. I got mine for five grand, there were like 4 other local ones for 5 grand too

@@wilson42cc oh damn yeah I guess that would make a difference. I’m in Atlanta. Altho I do have to say you guys have access to old Holdens which are rad af. Speaking of Holdens, my dad ended up getting one here from my neighbor that inherited a bunch of money and bought a Commodore. Basically the deal was within a year he was going through a divorce and didn’t want his wife to get his stuff so he just gave my dad the car. That thing was terrifyingly fast with that 6.0 in it, granted the gas mileage was also terrifying lol

@@ConeFlower-gx2qk Facts about Australia as I see it , everything here is about three to 500 percent markup on any other country , car parts are getting ridiculously expensive , to the point, where it is no longer viable to fix up a cheap car, electric cars are coming in quicker than we thought , Holden name is being dropped for Chevy , I as an Australian , can’t believe how quickly Holden is disappearing from the scene here , I thought they would be more of an icon , used to be everywhere once , Australia is now an expensive country to live in , money has no buying power , used to be lucky country, not any more ,

@@wilson42cc that’s a shame because it’s such a pretty place that had its own unique car culture. I honestly had no clue about how unique Australian car culture was except for mad max till my dad lucked into that car. He just passed away so I’ve got keep it since he rebuilt the motor and drove it everyday.

Nice to see a 944 being used! It just goes to show how good these old beasts are. Keep going, really enjoyable stuff.

I’ve gotta see the z run in person! I’ve got one myself but it’s a little nice for this 😅

Well at least you completed all your runs. The second track seemed to be a bit shorter as your times were less even in first gear! I think you might need to strengthen the gear linkage somehow Steve. I did think that you might have a fuel evaporation issue when the car would not rev when hot but it seemed to improve once it had been left to cool down so maybe a water temperature issue? The track seemed a bit more difficult with everything being brown but that was looking through the camera of course. It looked like good fun Steve. 👍👍

All runs except the last one were in 2nd gear, but yea I think the 2nd track was a little shorter. It is scored by adding up all the time throughout the day, no times are dropped, so it doesn't matter if one stage is longer than the other as long as everyone does the same number of runs on each track.
