Because it’s a competition on open road that’s why you can see a Toyota Yaris in the middle, they are not competing for the best chrono but for regularity, they have an average speed objective different on each special stage, the more they approach their ideal time the less penalty point they have, the winner is the one with the less penalty points, this year it’s the Opel Ascona 400

Yup that’s the reason, since the rally is during the weekdays and using small mountains roads so there is generally very few cars that can interfere with them but you never know, that’s why they don’t go like crazy, you never know what can come in front of you…. it’s not in the video but during the stage the bus passed in the reverse way. Where we were there is visibility so he let the cars pass easily but on some parts there no space for 2 ….

Hard to say, there's some like the porsches 924 or peugeot 104 or Golf GTI that cost less than 30k i think , and on the other side there's some model that can reach 300+ like the stratos

« Rallye Monte Carlo Historique » c’est le nom officiel de l’évènement, c’est bien l’ACM qui organise cet événement, les mêmes qui organisent le rallye Monte Carlo depuis 1911. Rallye qui jusque dans les années 50-60 était une épreuve de régularité. Donc jusque là c’est cohérent de faire ça. Deuxièmement évidement que c’est un rallye privé l’engagement est payant tu te pointes pas avec ta caisse à Monaco je jour du rallye en espérant rentrer au parc fermé. Maintenant j’ai bien compris que tu t’attendais à de la compétition chrono, c’est pas le cas cette catégorie dans ce rallye n’existe pas, pourquoi ? Je ne sais pas ! Est ce que j’aimerais que ça existe ? Bien sûr que oui ce serait fantastique ! Mais on en est pas encore là. Et si jamais tu veut leur suggérer l’idée libre à toi de leur écrire !
