I met Joe Pesci at a club in Palm Springs way back around 1990 when I was in the Marines, he sat and talked with us for hours. What a great guy.

Joe is a real nice person. In 1996 I had asked him for an autograph to be signed by him . My son and myself have the same name he was kind enough to sign a my cousin Vinny autograph for my son and a goodfellas autograph for me. He signed both “god is good” inscribed to us by name. Just an iconic actor and I wish he had not retired all those years.

Love hearing Ralph Macchio tell stories like this. We used clips from "My Cousin Vinny" in law student classes - it showed what was good, and what could be bad, in questioning and lawyering, and how to never give up during trial because you never knew how it was going to turn out before a jury.

I know where Monticello is! It’s very near my hometown of Mansfield, Georgia, which is where some of the movie was filmed too! I went to high school in Monticello, and they filmed it in the town square. Also, there are a lot of deer in that area, so it’s not a shock about hitting a deer.

My favorite part of My Cousin Vinny is when Vinny and his Fiance are sleeping in the cabin and a Owl 🦉 wakes them up with some screeching. He wake ups and Vinny says what the heck was that ? . Camera goes back to owl .. and then u see pesci open the door and starts shooting a gun at the woods . The owl turns to look at Vinny , Vinny then goes back in the cabin and the owl screeches again lmao

Monticello Georgia is Where My Cousin Vinny was filmed I've been there took pictures of the Courthouse it wasn't in Alabama like it was portrayed, a couple of giveaways is when the boys were pulled over by the police they were pecan trees you find them in Georgia not Alabama.

I cant get his Casino character out of my mind, as much as I loved him in My Cousin Vinny. Character actors dont want to be typecast and Scorsese definitely allowed Pesci to turn audience expectations on their head while giving De Niro a break from being the most violent character in the film.
