A very interesting video, you can see the difference between each ISO setting and the result. It's the only video I've found that's as detailed and qualitative as this to learn about the Gopro night settings. Thank a lot ! 😀

OK, so seeing this in 2024. You started off having PHOTO settings with SHUTTER 20s, ISO MAX 800, ISO MIN 3200. But, your screenshot shows you were in VIDEO with SHUTTER 30s and ISO MIN and MAX 1600. Did the Photo part not work out? Thanks!

At 04:20 your settings list shows ISO min at 3200 and the ISO max at 800. That seems counterintuitive. Great result with your photo.
@RalphMayhewPhotography3 жыл бұрын
I know. The max doesn’t actually matter I don’t think, especially when the min is higher than it. Thanks man.

Hi Ralph! can edit night lapse, star trails using mobile apps?
@RalphMayhewPhotography2 жыл бұрын
You means put multiple images in and layer them? If so I don’t think so. You’d be better to shoot it all in phone and edit with Lightroom afterwards. Even longer app can help with this.

On picture, you can see a part of disc of our Galaxy. But... It seems that on your photo, there is a center of Galaxy visible there. Is it possible, or is it illusion? To answer, we need to ask someone with sky map, probably.

Thanks for your GoPro Hero 10 vids mate, have found them very helpful. Interesting thing too is I received my Hero 10 yesterday which I bought direct from the GoPro site, and it did not have to have the firmware updated at all (didn't have that sticker on the back screen etc). Just requires normal set up, but but firmware. So I don't know, maybe if they come directly from GoPro, they have already completed the firmware update so users don't have to. Dunno, but not complaining anyway 😊
@RalphMayhewPhotography3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Shane. That’s strange because even the preorder ones sent to creators required the update before use. Are you sure yours is t a refurbished one?
@shane47533 жыл бұрын
@@RalphMayhewPhotography hey mate, yeah look I assume (hope) it's new and not refurbished. I bought it direct the GoPro Australia website and it came from their Singapore warehouse here to Brisbane. Has all the stickers still on the lens and 2 screens too. I might have to get onto their online chat to ask why the firmware update wasn't required and to ask if it a refurb or not. Not paying $600 for a refurb unit lol.
@RalphMayhewPhotography3 жыл бұрын
Worth an ask but likely it’s brand new 👍
@shane47533 жыл бұрын
@@RalphMayhewPhotography G'day Ralph, just got off the online chat with GoPro, evidently the initial units had come out in a hurry (in full gopro style lol) without having had the opportunity to have the updated firmware pre-installed. So I guess for the content creators such as yourself who were the early adopters, you were stuck with having to do the update yourself. GoPro advised me that as of a week or so ago, all units now had the firmware updated at the factory before being shipped out. Good to know. Anyway mate, thanks for your feedback and looking forward to seeing more of your Hero 10 vids in particular!
