Thanks for the info, very helpful information. Also, just for preventive maintenance, drain/replace all your differential fluids (front and rear), your transfer case fluid and your transmission fluid. This will make your truck last problem free.

My 2020 is in the shop for the same issue and they're giving me the run around like they've never heard of this issue. Also, they're charging me a butt load of money to diag. Hopefully my extended warranty kicks in. Might be my last Ram. I'll be sure to try the cycling for sure tho. Thanks!

Sorry that you are having this issue. I really recommend to everyone that buy old trucks new ones are shit on every brand

I like my new trucks better than the old ones. After we get hit by the EMP I will change my opinion 🤣😂

I get the exact same run around at the dealer for the same issue on my 22 Rebel, now it makes that noise and jerks when leaving a red light, they replaced the valve body in the trans and still have the same issue. This is my 4th RAM and now my last, truck is still at dealer and they hit me with that we cant replicate the issue BS, went and took the manager on a test drive and yup it did it again. Still at dealer.

@@mrfixit8640 That’s the same treatment I was getting, can’t replicate but they take your truck for days spin around the dealer and tell you to pick it up with no fix. They even told me it’s normal for my ram to sound like this as it’s a pick up truck 😂 their selling the 25 1500s inline6s for 100k+ msrp before taxes up here in Canada but the service quality is from 1955 They flashed the TCU on mine and it went away for a little bit but came back after awhile. Some how, using the rear diff lock, 4wd high and low turning my wheel and cycling forward and backwards that clunk hasn’t been back. Give that a try Does it make a jerking motion and clunk when you are slowing down to a red light?
@mrfixit864016 күн бұрын
@ it doesn’t do it when slowing down, it’s just rough when you let off the brake, it clunks and slams forward feeling like you got rear ended.

That's great! I've noticed the clunk in my Rebel. It sucks that Ram Care doesn't really work here in Canada. Thanks for your service (noticed the veteran's plate). What is your bug deflector? It looks really nice and I'm in the market for one.

Try cycling through the 4wd/difflock and drive around my clunking noise went away and hasn’t been back fortunately! Here’s the part number from mopar for the matte black bug deflector 82215476 Cheers

🇨🇦 go into your menu & set automatic park brake set. Every time u put it into park brake sets. Also have u any knowledge of putting in ACC automatic cruise control ?
@WeekndGarage3 ай бұрын
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦Even with the auto park brake or manual park brake when in P there’s still slight movement in the wheels which has the trucks weight resting on the P gear, when we switch to N > Brake > Park, 100% of the weight would be resting on the Parking brake. To add the ACC You need the right steering wheel switch with the ACC buttons, the driver assist module that goes in front of the rear view mirror, new mirror cover, and a different windshield that has the mounting bracket for the assist module. Then you need to go dealer for the module calibration and finalize with some alfa obd programming

I've got the same wheel. Carbon fiber bezel tho, only clunk on incline for me 2019-130k
@WeekndGarage3 ай бұрын
Try setting the gear to neutral > parking brake on> let go of brake to let truck weight rest on parking brake> then switch to park. This would fix the clunk on an incline

Honestly it’s a truck not a civic , also be glad you have that transmission and not the 10speed gm and ford uses. Nice truck btw

Good advice but doesn't really fix the problem or what is even causing it. I know mine would make some noise like that but have notice since put custom tune on it that's it not making that noise anymore

Thats not a fix. Thats just trying to properly operate the machine.

Cycling through the 4wd/axel lock fixed the clunk as shown in the video
