RAM ProMaster How To Keep Rear Camera On While Driving

Wish your rear view camera would stay on while you're driving? There's an easy trick for that!
Unfortunately, you have to be driving while doing this trick, so probably memorize the instructions and be careful while doing this. This should work on 2016 and newer RAM ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 vans equipped with the UConnect touch screen navigation system.
With the stereo on and while driving, press the "More" button under the right side of the display.
Press the "Rear Camera" icon on the display
Press the "X" button on the upper right corner of the display to exit the rear camera view before it times out.
Wait 10-12 seconds. I usually count to eleven silently.
Press the "Rear Camera" icon again.
The rear camera will remain on until you come to a stop. Once you stop and start rolling again, the rear view camera will turn back off.

in some wired aftermarket cameras you can keep the rear view camera always on by connecting it to something different than the default reverse light 12v supply.

Haha! I get that a lot. Our 2019 came with the factory-equipped fog lights, and they help a lot. The headlights alone are, as it sounds like you know too well, practically useless on their own.

What year Promaster is this? 2016, 2017 and 2018 Menus do not include this option...
