What I like about Rama is that he doesn't try to be a badass like many action heroes. He does not get into a fight and does not arrange it first, but only tries to survive and defend himself using his fighting abilities.

I love the noises he Made while fighting. Since the fight scene is continuesly happening without stop(except if its needed) the characters always Scream around to the floor, that makes the fight feels like have an adrenalines more

One thing that I like about The Raid is how everything around the characters seem to still be...normal. Other people are still doing their activities, especially when Rama is 'driving' the taxi. Pedestrians are still wandering about, some food sellers pushing their carts, and even in the restaurant the customers pretty much cannot leave and had to witness Rama defend himself.

I think part of the appeal of these movies, is that the realistic fight scenes allow the viewer to get over how much unlimited stamina the protagonist has. I feel like the general vibe that is supposed to be felt is that hes only slightly more skilled than most of his opponents, but he makes sure to mainly take 1v1’s as well as simply has more noble determination to succeed than the low-lifes he dispatches.
