@@RamblinAround I’m sure you mentioned this somewhere on the channel but what specific cam are you running and what exhaust in this clip? I have a TA with a 461 using a crower cam part# 60243 and Hooker headers with Hooker aerochamber mufflers. Still not tuned enough to make a video yet.

Just found your channel, that goat is awesome, and sounds mean! Reminds me of the 455 I dropped in a friends 71 Catalina, butler performance did the machine work, had a bunch of stuff done to it, said it should've been around 500hp. Even in the big Catalina it would fly and eat the tires, I also put a built th400, and a Ford 9in with 3:55s under it. Made me a believer in ponchos

If you could get traction I bet it would make some good time at the track. I like that car. Nice.
@RamblinAround4 жыл бұрын
It has a spool and 295/55 drag radials, but it still has trouble putting it down. I'm going to make some geometry changes out back when I put the 9" rear in, hopefully make it hook better. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

make your rear axle adjustments for better traction and you'll be in the 11 second range no problem! that poncho is making serious power!
@RamblinAround4 жыл бұрын
It already runs low 11's while spinning on an unprepped street, traps in the low 120's. We have tested it on the Dragy GPS. I think it would run a high 10 right now, if it would hook and not break. After the 9" goes in, we'll get it to the track. I think we can work it down to a mid 10 on a 125 - 150 shot, it all depends on the sixty foot we can get out of it.
@doublel73374 жыл бұрын
The GTO is making some serious horsepower now, like to see what the 1/4 mile times are now...
@RamblinAround4 жыл бұрын
Biggest problem now is getting it to hook. Getting ready to put a custom 9" ford rear in it though, and make a couple of geometry changes at the same time. Hopefully I'll get it too hook better. It traps in the 120's right now, but the 60 ft's are terrible. I'll get the traction worked out first, then throw some more nitrous at it. Should be fairly quick.
@doublel73374 жыл бұрын
@@RamblinAround I heard Dale Earhardt once say 500 hp was plenty if they only had tires to put that power to the pavement. He was talking about the short tracks of course. A narrowed 9 inch wit the right tires would definitly cut the times down.

My neighbor friend had a green one back in the day. Awsome car. Any thoughts as to what color you might paint ?
@RamblinAround4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I'm still not sure what color I'm going to go with. The original color was Aleutian Blue. I've always liked the orange on the GTO Judge's, so maybe something like that would be a possibility. Really not sure.

Fuck the paint...put your money in the heat and the meat...that's all that matters in the end.
