Design of these dog packs should have elastic in the straps. Poor Sadie knowing she had food that she couldn't access. Bless these good people in the world who helped find her. Worse thing ever to lose your pet and not know what situation they are in.

Ramdino, your interview with Bright Eyes, and all the evidence was just fascinating. I agree that it's a miracle that all of those things came together that led to finding the pack and the collar. I almost hate to watch the next episode though, because I know the story's not going to have a happy ending. As one of those whose pets have always been like our children, my heart breaks for Bright Eyes.

I am so sorry bright eyes. I lost my dog once for 5 days. Talk about a sick feeling. They are our companions and family. You have many sweet memories. May all your adventures with her give you comfort. The good was brought out in people who searched in any way they could for Sadie.

Sad and tragic. I’m sorry for her loss and for the volume of heart wrenching time spent searching and not knowing. God bless Bright Eyes and all of the wonderful volunteers who gave of their time and of themselves to try to find poor Sadie. Never understood how bright eyes could even make the decision to just keep hiking and let others search for her dog. Apparently that title of triple crowner was more important to her than her loyal companion who got lost because of irresponsible behaviour of that same owner.... (For not keeping her on leash) If I ever end up in a situation like this, no way I will ever hike one step further untill I have found my dog... Either death or alive. How could she.....so selfish....

I could say with all the conviction that she did everything she could. At the time because of our immigration policies, she was gonna have to go back and at some point in time you have to mentally take a break. Also, the triple crown was something that they had done together. And she very much wanted to complete it for Sadie. Just because she left the area does not mean the search did not continue. Additionally, if you had followed along, all of my updates.Rather than just jumping to conclusions you would know that we had sightings for the south and so it was part of her goal to try and continue to look for sadie or signs of her as she moved south. Your words are short-sighted.Show a lack of complete information and show that keyboard warriors can really be awful to people. It's a shame in the midst of a tragedy to somebody that you choose the low road and. hide behind the aninimity of your keyboard.

TBH Sadie looked as old and dirt. I’m pretty sure she do called off the trail to die and a bear got her. It’s all good.
