Great review. I love RAM products. Tough-Wedge and the headrest mount for rear seat passengers are both brilliant solutions. Now how about solutions to mount professional audio gear like Shure SM58 microphones for COVID-friendly environments that have been google-ized with the name "Car Choir". The car has become a singers' PPE under COVID distance restrictions.

Good question. There are a number of RAM components that work great with photo, video and audio gear. If the info I'm seeing on the Shure SM58 is correct, that mic comes with a stand adapter that can accept a 3/8"-16 thread? If so, check out part number RAM-B-236U on the RAM website. That ball can connect straight to the adapter and mic, and you can then mount it to the headrest post or anywhere else in the vehicle!

Looking for a tablet/ipad adjustable mount that I can access from the drivers seat. But does not get in the way of passengers and gives comfortable access to front seat passengers (typically just my kids & an the occasional chick/but I'm not talking about clients or buisness partners. It doesn't have to be perfect) but does need to look factory or at least appear kind of professionally customized when it's in the basic stored position. So, I'm sure ram got something. I'll be back with the final answer. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣

RAM mounts are useless. Go for quadlock instead. 100 times better

Quad lock requires you to use their own case.

@wldktz1 Better that than lose your phone on a RAM mount. And you don't have to btw. They don't make a case for my phone, so you just stick the universal adapter to any case.

@@amococ2487 I use MagSafe and have yet to lose my phone in the car. I do frequent emergency driving in a police car. It’s the better compromise of convenience and security.
