Many people believe that this is about literally seeking revenge and/or vengeance (which of course is one interpretation) but this song was written during a time where some of the members were going through breakups with their girlfriends. After a breakup, you might feel resentment towards the other person, especially if it was a tough break up. You might even feel dead inside. I believe this song is about how going through a break up might feel.. You may feel dead and want to get back at ur gf or bf but then you get over him/her and meet someone new and better so you feel reborn again and in a sense your revenge is getting over the breakup and finding someone better so you in a sense ..arise from the ashes.

my seconds of glory xD … seeing me dancing from behind at a rammstein concert, I understand better why there are mirrors in dance halls x) I was ridiculous, but super euphoric and happy to be there, to feeling free to dance, so it was worth feeling ridiculous for years to come, every time I see myself for a few seconds in this concert x)

@@teardrop-in-a-fishbowl being on a rammstein dvd, shaking my shoulders and my arms ridiculously while being carried on the shoulders of a total stranger who had taken pity on my 1m55 which prevented me from seeing the scene well, was one of the things that I I did the coolest of my life xD but I'm not as cool as the girl who looks till like a starving in front of a big cake to eat in this same concert I would have liked to meet her just to ask her what she imagined doing with him to have the same expression as the wolf of tex avery in front of the little red riding hood x)

Völkerball can be the game Dodgeball or it can also mean Ball of the Nations. The song is about vengeance beyond death.

Yes, it's all real! This is vintage Rammstein, and a fun performance. Now, this stunt was done in a large open space, unlike them doing similar in smaller club venues, so pros and cons... they have to turn their fans (blowing) off! They try to use cryogenics instead of smoke, and there is plenty of water on stage, plus fire safety crew (now). They make it look easy bc they've done it for decades...but no one was safe early on! There were injuries. Burns. I do remember maybe my 5th gig...Till would always send Christophe to tell me something, since we'd been acquainted b4 I knew he was in a band, and his English was better...but Till asked me to follow him out back of the venue...he was testing new pyro and thought he'd be cheeky by asking me to hold a 6" flare while he lit it. I sure as heck wasn't gonna show any fear, even though I didn't know if the thing was gonna fly outta my hand! I just held it, like a bigass sparkler. That was the last time Till sent Christophe...now he spoke to me himself. Now, don't go crazy...this was stuff like, I need a sewing kit or super glue, or a door pass. We did have some group discussions on how to say 'safety pin' once... Sue! Your secret is out...either you're a dirty smoker like me...or I need a nicer weed vape!

I do type up sagas and email my 2nd cousin, who's the family documentarian...but alot of these little 'sparked memories' (pun intended) don't always occur to me. How about I dictate and you collate, and we split the $1m advance...! I love books. I miss books. I miss my bookstore (Das buchladen). I miss seeing ppl reading books. I have too many books...no one will ever help me move now that I've said that!

I know that when I see videos of them.. I notice Till drinks a lot of water or i see him come onstage with a water bottle drink from it then toss it towards the crowd..also I have read that the reason they appear dirty or like thier wet is because of a fire retardant gel and I'm not exactly sure but I believe that they are 💯 % singing for real into the microphone 🎤🔥🎤🔥

There are actually 2 Völkerball concerts...the main one (the one you're watching now) in Nîmes France and the other in London England . The one in England only has 4 songs and 3 are also in the main concert the big difference is that the one in England is the only one that has my #1 most favorite Rammstein song and performance which is "Rein Raus" I love that song!
