Till was an olympic swimmer. Headed to 1980 Olympics before injury ended that path of his life. That's probably why he can balance so well, it's like the starting platform for swim races. Perhaps? It was a good point Sue. Everyone wonders that.

Sorry, the role of the keyboards in Rammstein is often completely underestimated, but that's what sets them apart from other metal bands. That electronic touch and the fascinating chords.

@@SueSueandthewolfman I'm more of a classical pianist and I have a grand piano. But I also really like keyboards. I grew up listening to prog rock, ELP, Genesis and such. I have some keyboards: E.g. Moog Sub37, Sequential Prophet REV2, ASM Hydrasynth, Behringer Model D, ... As for Rammstein, I'm not really a metalhead, but they are very intriguing. For me they make the best metal music. Deep lyrics, best grooves, fascinating sound/harmonies and live they are stunning. For me the best live band in the world. (As a band never ever play after Rammstein on a concert ;) )

I would recommend 'Spiel Mit Mir' - very few live videos, but such an underrated song from the 2nd album. Otherwise its very interesting to check the video "Rammstein - 1996.08.18 - Köln [Full Show] [Proshot] HQ" maybe just the opener which is their self-titled song from the 1st album. It's impressive to see what they were already doing on stage when the weren't headliners and still not so popular.

Lyrics aside, this performance, live...was incredible! Till stood on a 36" round platform and went about 32ft in the air...with no harness and no fall cushion...he has always been a pure badass! Lots of injuries and.burns over the years. I've watched him sew his arm up with tailor's thread, and once he used super glue...whatever was handy. Never complained. Highly suggest going back to the old stuff...I think I told you in another video, the old videos show them with.white, slicked back hair...bc the flame retardant that fit the budget, was Desitin, the baby diaper rash cream! I had hair down to my waist when I worked those early shows...can I even explain how difficult it was to wash that shit out of your hair? Mane and Tail horse shampoo...miraculous! So many memories...

When he sings "Ich seh’ im Spiegel dein Gesicht" " I see your face in the mirror" hints that the person he’s singing about is actually himself. Maybe this song isn’t about a sadomasochistic relationship, but is rather about self-harm.

So glad you guys are enjoying Rammstein. If you guys would like to enjoy a little Rammestein/Nightwish mash up checkout Crewish's version of Sleeping Sun. Crewish is a band put together by Nightwish's road crew. During the pandemic with all of the touring on hold the road crews became unemployed. Nightwish's road crew got together and produced an EP of Nightwish songs done in completely different styles as a way of keeping busy and making some money. Nightwish blessed the project and promoted it heavily on their social media as a way of supporting their crew (all the money went to the crew, none to band or label). As you can imagine their road crew are pretty good musicians in their own rights and the EP (Unemployed Blacksmiths) was number 1 in Finland. There is an official music video for Sleeping Sun (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGnYkpWDicd8gtk). Other songs covered. Nemo, Amaranthe, Elan, ans Wish I had an Angel. Won't give away the styles they did them in so you can discover that on your own but I especially like Nemo and Amaranthe. They were supposed to release a second album, Twice, back in May with seven new songs including ones with Tuomas and Tarja performing as well (separate songs). along with the five from the EP. HAven't been able to find if the album was actually released.

Great song and performance. The sound on this post seems a bit tinny. Is that because you are listening to the ambient sound in the room, not through your headphones? It's always better with headphones.

Yeah that’s the case. We were using headphones but it is a bit restrictive. My monitors are top notch and I would rather use them but will go back to headphones Also so if the noise was coming from the snares being active on the snare drum.
