3:52 The line "Deep waters are not still" is a variation of the German proverb "Stille Wasser sind tief" ("Still waters run deep"). This refers to people who look innocent on the outside, but in reality have very dangerous character traits. This is a good description of the girl in the video that Till glamoured to have him kill her parents.

I think you got confused somewhere along the way 😂 You say the proverb means that silent people are dangerous, then you say it works with the song, but the song basically negates it, saying that "Deep waters are not still".

The hidden character traits not necessarily need to be dangerous. The proverb is often used in a sexual context, too. Then it means, that someone who looks innocent or conservative may turn into a tiger in bed.

Awesome reaction guys, I love them. This video was shot 30 km's from my hometown, Brasov (Romania) in the autumn of 2005. It was the beggining period of my Rammstein journey. In terms of locations this was shot in Romania, near Râșnov, and Dicke Titten is shot in Austria. Keep up the nice and funny reactions! Greetings from Romania!

Fun Fact: They really did the self-flagellation on themselves and they liked it. Rammstein's statement: "There is something liberating about it." They talk about it in the making of video. Also, Rammstein's "Rosenrot" album is kinda like a hidden treasure of Rammstein, its actually a great album.

Absolutely agree. Feuer und wasser is a very overlooked masterpiece of a song I think. I love the intensity at the end of the song and how it builds up.

Rosenrot is like a forgotten album. They never toured when Rosenrot came out. Normally a tour would accompany an album release. By the next tour it was Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da, so they focused on songs from that album. The only song from that whole tour from the Rosenrot album was Benzin The thing with the Rosenrot album is originally it was going to be called Reise Reise vol 2 , as the songs on it were made up of leftover songs that they felt didn't fit the Reise Reise Album, I believe Rosenrot itself existed in the Mutter era and there was talks of it being the title track then,but Mutter took it's place and the song kept being put off. Out of all songs on the Rosenrot album, out of the 11 songs, only Benzin, Zerstoren, Mann Gegen Mann and Te Quiero Puta! has been performed live (outside the fanclub shows). And the latter only gets played in Spanish speaking countries

In the morning, the girl takes communion along with other villagers. Her nocturnal confession to a priest in love remains a mystery, which most likely ended in a forbidden relationship, as evidenced by the bed, which played the role of a confessional. Companions of the protagonist, despite the obvious violation of the vow by their religious brother, rely only on prayer and self-flagellation in the fight against vice. However, one sin leads to another: a young temptress persuades a monk to commit murder, condemning her own parents to death. The symbol of the request is the rose placed in the hands of the monk, on the thorns of which he injures his hands. Rammsstein play on the symbolism of this flower: according to Christian tradition, the thorns of the rose appeared after the fall of man. The flogging is real..I read that they drank lots of vodka to help with the pain. I saw a picture of their backs and of course Till had the worst back...then it was Paul (I believe) who had the 2nd worst back.
