Yeah, I watched the interview where right after 9/11 he took off alone back to Germany because he was so freaked out. I felt bad for the guy.

He makes Rammstein. I mean, Rammstein has several integral unique parts, but IMO he’s the man. I don’t think they would be my fav band if his musical contributions weren’t there. Gives it a whole different sound. I think he also produces or composes much of their music, iirc. There are a couple things about his personality that p me off lol, but that’s my own subjective issue 😇.

Flake is so courageous. He is still stammering a little but he speaks in public, even in a language he had to learn as an adult only. I love his gentle way and how he tells things just as they were. I am from Western Germany and I learned a lot about East Germany. Flake is great 👍

You find that when you visit Germany, particularly Berlin. Everyone spoke PERFECT English to me there. I met only one person who couldn't speak English and he was an older dude asking me for directions in OstBanhof.

He's a typical Ossie-East German. A bit introverted, humble, great dry sense of humour, English not great because they couldn't practice it growing up there but they make an effort to speak it for you, kind, hard working and smart with real depth to their characters. Love my Ossie man :)

Extroverts have an easier time of learning to speak a foreign language as people will listen to them and they aren't overshadowed by other people speaking that language. Introverts have to take more conversational lessons but they also tend read and write that language better than extroverts. But Till is said to be an introvert as well off stage. I think Till is more an ambivert. The mind of one that needs to recharge social batteries alone in nature and then put on the extrovert act with people.

That's because he's from Berlin. The Berlin dialect increases the German accent. In Germany we say, he /er "berlinert".

I think native english speakers do understand what he is talking about. His pronounciation and grammar sometimes lack but hey ... he never had any english lessions in school when he was a kid. Great that he had the courage to hop on this stage. :-) He's one funny guy by the way.

Its amazing the beginning and the trials and struggles. You get a sense of the struggle, and the improvisation they had to do to make things work in those days. The hoops they had to jump through to play and situate a small venue or gig.

Cool!! I live in Weißensee, not far from Prenzlauer!! I love Rammstein since the years 2000, when I got contact with the band in Lisbon!! I saw them live for the first time in Lisbon Coliseo, many years ago!! But since than, this is my favourite band and had the opportunity to see them again!! Keep your amazing work!!

It turned out that Schneider is the glue in the band and brought them back together. He also brought Richard back into the band after the others threw him out. Then they all went to group therapy together. Flake is too shy and probably stands back when there are arguments going on.
