Most people in Germany speak pretty amazing English these days. I heard a story from a guy I met once who said his friend lived in Berlin for three years and never learned German because they all spoke to him in English.

I took high school German for a year the guy teaching us said most Germans learn better English than Americans do. Richard knows English pretty well, of course it makes sense cause he lived in America for a while, I don't know if he still does. If you've ever seen the music video for Amerika, the end has Richard point at the camera and smile, this was done as kind of an inside joke since Richard was moving to the states at the time and thus would be "Living in Amerika"

Out of all rammstein members, he seems to be most fluent in english. And honestly I think his "You know?" is adorable - for me it's just a way to have better connection with interviewer. Something like "I want to make sure you have understood my point.", which should be appreciated! :)

I was at the gog and seriously, nobody would‘ve cared if they had noticed. People were so damn motivated for the concert, just amazing. The evening before about everybody on the campsite was singing Rammstein stuff. During the concert before Rammstein a lot of people just sat down and waited and reloaded some energy because Broilers was boring and they just wanted to have a 100% Rammstein show. So yeah everybody was pissed it was canceled.

comon.. the kind of music they make is so easy to put together. the only thing that needs any time to work out properly are the lyrics. rammstein is and ever was all about the lyrics. i can shit out 11 songs like this every day if you want me to, especially if you pay me to. but you can't have a decent shit without digesting. and that process would compare to writing lyrics.

Germans say "you know" for two main reasons: * It gives them a little more time, to think about the english translation of their next sentence. * It gives them a bit of a feedback, if the person they are talking to, is actually understanding what they are talking about at this very moment. Especially, when the first, second language you've learned, has originally been russian... :P (So basically, it`'s about being polite. Though I understand, it might as well seem funny to native english speakers)

^ You're right that you shouldn't just expect more to happen, cause it shouldn't be forced. That's how especially artistic stuff gets watered down. But then, yes, artists usually just don't stop... I mean, they have nothing better to do... Look at Barry Gibb for example, his brothers died but he still plays music. It looks sad now, but that's what he does. And creatives usually can't stand to sit around and do nothing like an old retired person. - It's in their blood to create and perform, especially after doing it for decades. That said; Even if it might be Rammstein's last... I'm sure various members would keep doing projects. They always do unless they're ACTUALLY bored, or they're just not physically able anymore.
