Ramones Halfway to Sanity - Their most underrated album?

Great album. It is a mixed bag, which is fun with this. I really liked how they stepped out of their comfort zone with I’m Not Jesus.

Rocket To Russia way too low. It’s a classic. That’s probably my number one. Adios Amigos id rank last. Apart from that I agree

@@JCStorm76 Rocket To Russia is overrated ,it´s only 3 good songs on it: Sheena Is a Punk Rocker, Cretin Hop and Rockaway Beach. And the production is pretty bad too.

I dont know why people always complain about this album... for me it is one of their best so i am really happy they made this album. To me it has a lot of spirit and personal memories. It is a top album with real good songs... exept for bye bye baby.

The only track that let's them down on the album is I'm not Jesus that dark thrash metal doesn't suit them otherwise one of there best albums powerfull

For me this album has a 9/10 and brain drain and ramones 10/10 my favourites!

Subterranean Jungle and Halfway to Sanity are usually regarded as the Ramones' weakest albums, but the former has Psychotherapy, My-My Kind of Girl and Time Bomb... Absolutely brilliant stuff. In my opinion, Halfway To Sanity has only one standout track, Weasel Face, and it's a ripoff of the Sex Pistols' Belsen Was a Gas. The rest of the songs are either bad or just OK. The Ramones is one of my three favourite bands (I've listened to some 1,300 albums throughout my life), and Halfway to Sanity is the band at its lowest. Fortunately, they would make a much better album next time, in 1989, and fully recover in 1992 with Mondo Bizarro. Not to mention Dee Dee's solo stuff 1988-1997...

I like this album and the previous one animal boy to me their just fun rock albums is it classic Ramones not really but for what it is it's good time rock and roll turn the brain off and have a good time

One of their weakest albums for me though it’s still good, the first 3 songs are easily the best and A Real Cool Time, other than that it’s pretty average mostly due to Richies songs which suck on this album, though it was actually Joey Ramones favourite Ramones album surprisingly. I’d go for Subterranean Jungle as their most underrated, definitely better than this, though you seem to disagree
