Yep, definitely a job that demands proper team work. We just handled Norse flights out of SWF after the JFK terminal mishap a few days ago. The Dreamliner is a fine airplane to work, the cargo compartments are in great shape and work as advertised.

I thought the belly door operation is would be closer to the 767 at first, but now I see it’s almost identical to the 777. The plane isn’t as low to the ground as I thought.
@ramperryan
@ramperryan Жыл бұрын
The door is very sleek. Its hydraulic operated but all that stuff is hidden in the door itself. You cant open it from the highloader like the 777 because it would hit the machine. This is due to it being very low. Unlike the 777
@blonde_birdav7685
@blonde_birdav7685 Жыл бұрын
@@ramperryan we don’t use the loader to open the 777 doors. We use the ladders for anything higher than a 767. I work at the FedEx hub, so I was curious about how the 787 door worked. I was first under the impression it was the same mechanism as the 767 considering how low to the ground it was
@ramperryan

@@blonde_birdav7685 other companies use the highloader to open the 777 door. But the 787 when weighed down is too low to close it again

Hi very good work, it's amazing to be "behind the scenes"! Just out of curiosity, isn't it weird for you to drive with the wheel on the left and then after with the wheel on the right?

It's crazy how there is hardly any communication between any of the people working on the ramp , it looks as though people do all kinds of random things without ever talking to other workers so everyone knows what everyone else is doing or going to do , people can't read minds and communication is how injuries or death are prevented.
