Everyone knows that tumbling skyscrapers produce clouds of smoke and ash because they've seen footage of 9/11. Prior to that, tumbling skyscrapers in movies generally didn't include the clouds of smoke and ash.

Building demolition draws crowds of spectators. When they come down, they produce smoke and ash. The filmmakers wouldn't need to study 9/11 footage.

Is Robbie good friends with Dwayne? I enjoyed 'San Andreas' so was looking forward to this but was really disappointed. Not sure where the 'fun' was - just countless unnecessary exposition scenes and some pretty terrible action sequences. They really struggled to find a way to fit Dwayne Johnson in to the monster action. A movie that clearly didn't know it's target audience - the premise had appeal for pre-teens but what was with the overall gloomy tone and the littering of S-bombs throughout? Went for edgy when this could have been big dumb fun

Some very clever notions expressed here. Particularly the 80's action movie/vietnam war social catharsis idea, & subsequent Dwayne Johnson action film/post 9-11 catharsis. I like this softly spoken beardy jumper man Robbie Collin.

Saw it today, and it is what it is , a thoroughly enjoyable popcorn movie, one thing is for sure Dwayne Johnson is killing it at the moment even Baywatch was totally enjoyable , and to make Rampage even better we saw it in the newly refurbished Odeon cinema with super comfy reclining seats and even a retractable table for your Munchie's .. But one word of Warning - Do Not see it or any other movie with "ChickenWire" he can't tell a movie from an orange

Oh please it’s the most predictable unbelievable, unoriginal film I’ve seen. A film about the guy making the film on a computer would be more interesting and investable. SPOIlER ALERT So I starts off like Gravity gone wrong, then it becomes Planet of the Apes with an albino Caesar then Mowi does his whole talk to the animals thing then some guys who look like they could be in the Jurassic Park films have turned out to have made some magical gene thing that makes animals into monsters. The monsters escape yet can’t be destroyed. The army randomly bombs places without the permission from the president The Rock gets shot yet somehow survives the monsters are following a signal (A Quite Place) style then King Kong happens with Godzilla but the Avengers don’t arrive but it’s ok Mowi does and everything’s ok in the end and the Ape even helps tidy it all up . Sorry guys he doesn’t sing!
