Spectacular game! It would seem hard to praise defenses in a 54-51 game but the defenses played great too. If I recall correctly the Rams defense scored two touchdowns, set up a third, and saved the game with a couple interceptions at the end of the fourth quarter.

He was sacked a total of 5 times but 3 were his fault because he decided to not let go of the fucking football. So no Goff was not “so good” he was “so lucky” and “sub-par”. The days of a true dominating defense may be gone so its crucial to have a defense that can create turnovers at some point. Lot of people in here talking about how it's all offense. Correct me if I'm wrong there was 6 or 7 turnovers. All except the last 2 were tallied as points it turnovers, there was 3 or 4 defensive touchdowns if which the offense didn't even step on the field. If big time defensive players didn't make big time plays the score would be 35-31. That's still a shootout, but in this game half of the scoring was setup by the defenses.

Max. These are three outstanding offenses. The way you go on every team should be scoring 40 or 50 points. They are not. Yes. The rules have tightened a little but you're exaggerating. Defenses need to adapt some but it is not widespread. It's these three offenses. Saints. Rams. Chiefs. They are stacked and they're in tune. That's the biggest reason they put points up the way they do.

You know what I'm 51 years old and this was the best football game that I have ever seen ever it was better than any Super Bowl I had never seen two teams play like they did last night they would not let up neither one of them wanted to lose I never seen such a fight it was like watching a heavyweight championship fight blow-by-blow it was absolutely amazing how both of these teams played

If there is another game like this one in a couple of years many people will forget this one despite all that is said now. It was only 5 years ago in 2013 where much of what is said now was said then, but we have forgotten. It was the Broncos vs the Cowboys on the nationally televised late Sunday game. The Broncos won 51-48. Tony Romo threw for 500+ yards and had a QB rating of 140. Peyton Manning threw for 400+ yards and had a QB rating of 130. Manning even fooled everybody and ran for a TD! There were 9 TD passes thrown. Total offense exceeded 1,000 yards. The Broncos had a top rated defense. Many said it was the greatest regular season display of offense by two teams. Wow, that game like this one was super fun to watch. Hardly anyone mentions it now though.

@@AncientLegi0n You may not understand this but there is a huge gap between 14-13 and 54-51. An ideal game would be somewhere in the 28-27 range with 0 turnovers, frequent lead changes, and a last second game deciding play. Football is more interesting when each play is an unknown, not when you just assume 10-15 yard gains with each pass while the QB just casually stands in the pocket eating a sandwich. If you want 0 defense where only 1 side matters then watch some of those 195-190 NBA All Star games. Surely those must be the greatest NBA games ever
