It worked for me on my ASRock Z790 PG Sonic Motherboard with socket LGA 1700 without any drivers to be sliptreamed to an image file. But only the 64bit version works not the 32bit version!!!

8.1 has the easiest time aside from dos 6, I’d think. But who knows. Uefi and drivers are not the same. I tried windows 7 on my ryzen system and I must be making the installer wrong Becuase it won’t boot…

I actually liked windows 8.1, my first laptop that I was bought for my birthday had windows 8.1. Sure it wasn't fast by any means but 12 year old me was satisfied. I was able to still play minecraft and roblox on it and that's all that matters.

this title is so klick bait. of cause windows 8.1 will work still, people are still installing and running windows 95 and 98 from the 19's, even windows 3.1 and 3.11 you'll just find more and more incompatebilities over time since the os and drivers for newer stuff possibly wont work right for that os
