I’m going to bet the “vertical” wound in the liver, below the horizontal plane of the broad head is from the fletching. I’d bet if you hung a liver and shot a field point through it, the fletchings would create their own wound channels. (In an organ like a liver-I’d bet similar results may be found in a lung and possibly less prevalent in heart muscle). Maybe a new video on secondary wounds caused by fletching?
@bradcummings72624 ай бұрын
And the more I think about it, the flap of liver may be a result of fletchings as well?

I see absolutely no reason to change from my magnus single bevel 150gr. Broad heads with a sharpening touch up every time I pull them out of my quiver. I have to admit that I did purchase a package of Grizzly Stick SAM-200 But the packaging was so beautiful that I put it on a shelf for display!😃 The beautiful overkills were too pretty to shoot!lol. Anyway the magnus heads really can’t be beat when you figure in price and performance!!! My x-bows are throwing the Magnus killer bee’s Awesome stuff! Seriously Awesome when you tune them in.

Got into archery a couple years ago and got my first doe this past January. I'm sold on two blade single bevel. Shot the doe about 25 yards full frontal staring at me with a cutthroat 150g right bevel right helical arrow about 500 something grains. Hit just below the neck inside the right shoulder. Missed all the major vitals except some liver and poked out between the rear legs. Didn't go 30yds. Not an ideal shot but that arrow punched right through and did the job.

Hey @RanchFairy, I just ordered the new uv1k arrows from victory to mess around with. They're unique being 4.5mm shafts and I'm looking to add weight to the front. Are there inserts that screw in to lengthen the factory insert while adding weight? Or am I trying to find something that doesn't exist and inserts have to be glued in. I can't find anything and I hope I don't regret buying these so early on

I’m gonna try it this year, I’ll be using their 175gr solid 4 blade..just wondering, all the reviews I’ve seen so far is good with them

Okay Troy , got to admit I am a Fairy fan ! I need your advice. I shoot the Magnus 125 ser razor and I want to try the 150 single Bevil. Are the single bevil broad heads that much better?
@The_Judge3005 ай бұрын
That depends on your setup and what you hunt. The single bevel is clearly better when it comes to penetration if you hit bones. If you only hunt deer from a treestand, avoid quartering to shoots, use rather heavy arrows and shoot a poundage and draw length that gives that arrow a decent speed, then I personally think the broadhead you use is plenty good enough. Of course your broadhead can work very well in many other situations as well, but then I think the single bevel has an advantage as you have a bigger margin for errors incase you hit some bones. For youth hunters, most women and others that are only able to shoot bows with a lower poundage and/or short draw length, I always advice them to use single bevel broadheads.
@RanchFairy5 ай бұрын
If they will fly, there are advantages. You need to test 150 grain points. But with the "Foamer" you're in a good spot. Just avoid any heavy bone impacts especially below 600 grains. When you get to that point (600). You want to add a single bevel.
